B) in the reviews someone had a screenshot of the codes that expired in 2022. So I guess nope.

They are not that bad and compared to typical release these days. They are still entertaining. Sure the cgi was heavy handed and sad to see after how good the practical effects looked in LotR. Sure they stretched out a single movie into 3 while still leaving out much of the original material. It's not a bad deal $34 for several nights of entertainment.
