Battery barely lasts 8 minutes on the highest setting! In fact 4 minutes on my unit so I returned it!

Frankly, it's useless on the lower setting in almost any circumstance.
I run mine exclusively on high. Yes the battery only lasts 8 mins or less, no I still wouldn't go back to dealing with cords.

There are also battery adapters for these as well that could give you longer run time just keep a feel of the motor and give it a break if it starts to get warm.

They are talking on the high setting and while 4 mins still seems a bit low, they definitely don't last over 8 mins on high.

Maybe like a solid 6 lol.

This is most likely SV25 submodel, there are no battery adapters or aftermarket batteries available.

i'd be looking to purchase the dewalt adapter if i end up buying this. Unfortunately this is a problem with all dyson models.

That is what I did and it is the best $20 I've ever spent. Dewalt 5A battery and you can do a whole house on max. Smilie

Once you have one with an LED light on the head (Ryobi) you won't want one without. Especially on hardwood floors.

These V8 Dysons are the best because of the power requirements. I have one and am trying to pick up more. Amazon sells replacement battery mounts that allow these to use power tool batteries, ex: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=dyson+...nb_sb_noss. I have several Makita batteries already for my tools and lawn care. I can swap the batteries out one after another and not worry about a thing. Just one 5a/hr Makita battery already does better than the Dyson one. I only use these on high too.
