I got this for around $159 summer 2023. I only use it a couple times a year, mainly for car related maintenance/wheel swapping. It's overkill for that but it makes it really easy. Great tool

The problem with the Ryobi is mainly it's so large, for car repairs it's more likely you'll be able to fit in the ridgid in spaces the Ryobi would not fit.

Finally a deal on the big boy that does 1000+ ft lb of torque. Will get any fastener off that the factory decided should be put on with an impact.

Very good price if you need this level of tq. For typical uses like auto jobs i think the tool is too heavy and has too much tq. To much tq in the sense that it will snap heads off bolts and then you're easy 30min job just turned into a nightmare...

The 600ft lb wrench is a much better choice imo for most users.

Agree 100%. I have this, the mid torque and the Milwaukee 12v stubby (not the newest version).
On almost everything I use the stubby but it's a bit slower as the torqued bolt gets higher. If I'm impatient or just wanna move fast but shuck something beefy around, I'm using the Ryobi mid torque.
I've only used this big monster when I'm really stuck. (ie. Some clown who torqued the mf hell outta some caliper bracket bolts on a friend's Ram. Even then, one of them still didn't come off. I felt a little let down by it but I have no idea what the final value they were torqued to.)

At 1170 ft lbs of torque, this should be able to bust off just about any crankshaft bolt on a Honda (if you know you know). I just wish it wasn't Ryobi. I get it's made by Milwaukee but everytime I see someone with Ryobi I am typically in fear they are going to hurt themself with the tool due to lack of knowledge. Be careful using this for putting nuts back on, that much torque and you'll snap most 14mm and smaller bolts in just a few hammer strokes.

You don't need an impact wrench for bleeding brakes or changing brake pads.

Here are some examples of my usage:
1. Timing belt crank shaft bolt.
2. Lug nuts (the impact wrench saves you a lot of time and energy.)
3. Water heater anode rod (The impact wrench is a life saver in this situation as the anode rod was on very tight and the whole water heater rotates as you apply torque with a breaker bar.)

The impact wrench is indispensable when you encounter any nuts that you can't remove with a breaker bar.
