Dirty cups are easier to detect. Distilled water in a washed cup, wait a minute, then drink.
ANY scent of dish soap means it wasn't properly washed clean.
Usually takes rinsing every surface under running warm to hot water 5-10 times to fully clean soapy dishes.
Some soaps are harder to detect when dishes are properly washed clean. Eg. Dawn is great for hands, but the residue takes longer to wash off. And harder to tell by feel alone. Eg Joy is tougher on hands, but like the ad, when the dishes start to squeek, you're close to washing it all off.
