Leno returned to 11:30pm time slot

NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top [tmz.com]

We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien.

We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot.
No words on what will happen to Conan and Fallon... whether they both will get pushed back one hour of if one of them will be fired.

I prefer Leno at 11:30 than 10:00.

personally, i find kimmel to be hilarious. he's been on the air for how long...must be doing something right.

Wow, Kimmel really threw down, totally calling Leno out. Leno is seeming more and more likea backstabbing bitch at every turn. He calls Kimmel up and asks him to be on the show because of his jokes about the situation, gets pissed off when Kimmel makes jokes about the situation, and then bitches about it to Oprah. Every little thing Leno does at this point is irritating. He needs to just STFU and ignore this whole thing and wait for it to go away, instead he's hyping it up more and more like his new album is about to drop, and everyone is hating him more and more.

I like how he pretends to be the victim here. Sucker-punched by Kimmel? I am sure he saw what Kimmel did on his show the night before, unless he is that stupid, he should have expected some viscous stuff from Kimmel.

He's flat out LYING! What he did on Kimmel the night before is THE REASON HE INVITED HIM ON HIS SHOW! He knew fully well that Kimmel expected to address the late night wars. You could tell that Kimmel is angry here while he was just in it for jokes before. He expected some banter from Leno to push the jokes and got nothing, and calls him out as someone who 'used to be a Comedian' and now just reads off of cue cards.

Plus, that's how NBC advertised it. After Kimmel did his parody, NBC made a big deal about him being on Leno, inferring it would be about the late night issues, referring it to the interview that everyone would be talking about. Some how I don't think questions about Kimmel's "junk food addiction" would qualify.

Leno should really leave TV because his best efforts fall short of everybody else's worst, except maybe Jimmy Fallon's. Even Kimmel imitating Leno and intentionally being lame was funnier than the real Leno: link [go.com]

For the hell of it, I watched Fallon last night on NBC. It was a repeat from a couple weeks ago - the day before "American Idol" started. He said he's friends w/ both and feels conflicted in the situation between Leno and O'Brien. He obviously took the politically correct route. He also made a crack about how he loves his job.

Fallon's show isn't bad. Granted, that head swap thing was waaaaayyyyyy too long and not funny. But his interviews are entertaining b/c he doesn't do it from cue cards. His cue card stuff (like monologues) are weak.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and Anthony Andersen were the guests and Kesha was the music act.

Jay Leno's last 'Leno Show' monologue [cnn.com]

I thought it'd run through Thurs. I'll have to catch it on Hulu. In the meantime, I read the transcript of it. Funny stuff. No doubt he's become a more polarizing figure after the O'Brien firing, but he's still has the best monologues.
