NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top [tmz.com]
No words on what will happen to Conan and Fallon... whether they both will get pushed back one hour of if one of them will be fired.
I prefer Leno at 11:30 than 10:00.

We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien. We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot. |

I honestly don't give two shits though what his ratings are. He's better than Fallon, Ferguson or Letterman by a mile. That's all the reasoning I need to watch him.
it was a bad few months, just nbc lost its gamble that conan was the next tonight show host. his bits don't work in the 11:30 slot. majority of people don't find him funny.
I know you're not referring to Leno, who's awful as a talk show host, because I have too much respect for your intellect and taste in comedy.

Of course Leno is getting ratings, this whole situation is still a story. Conan got good ratings towards the end too. The proof will be in the pudding if/when Conan returns to late night opposite Leno and after some time has passed beyond that and everyone settles into their normal viewing patterns.
PS- How convenient that none of the Leno fanboys are noting that there were two brand new Law and Orders were the lead in for the news that night, instead of the putrid Leno show at 10pm. Let's see how many viewers the 10p L&O had, and how many CSI Miami lost, before you conclude that Leno is the prodigal son returning.
ToyotaLeno so much?ToyotaLeno so much?I'm not pro or anti Leno. I do enjoy his show and I also enjoyed O'Brien's. Too bad they're no longer on the same network. I'll watch Leno's show this week and then I'll just spot watch late night TV shows based on the guests, either Leno or Letterman. (I don't care about the rest until O'Brien returns.)

What leads in to the news here doesn't matter... because NBC in Tallahassee has no 11PM news
I never claimed Leno was the "prodigal son returning" to save NBC. Hell, I think the network's failing right now. I don't really watch any of their shows. All the good ones are syndicated on our Fox station of all things anyway. Oh, and great comparison there. Comparing Leno to Obama.... We're not trying to make this political are we?
ToyotaLeno so much?I'm confused.
Also, congrats to Fallon for outlasting Leno and O'Brien. This week, his show surpassed 1 year and 200 shows. He kicked Ferguson's ass again.
