Leno returned to 11:30pm time slot

NBC Shakeup -- Jay Leno Comes Out on Top [tmz.com]

We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot.
No words on what will happen to Conan and Fallon... whether they both will get pushed back one hour of if one of them will be fired.

I prefer Leno at 11:30 than 10:00.

I heard that Kevin Eubanks did quit and Ricky Minor took over on the "Leno" show as the musician. I've only seen 1 episode since. How have ratings been since the changeover, or did it not make a different?

I saw the last episode with Eubanks. Kinda sad since he has been with Leno for ages.

But if he wants to go, then that's his choice.

it hasn't made headline worthy news, though this is the time of year for mostly repeats.

I heard some guys on the radio talking about this a few days ago and saying that the lead in shows were all doing the same or better than Leno did in the same slot.

Yeah, lots of repeats in general, but at least, for the most part, late night shows are new.

Does anyone remember Eubanks' last show on "Leno"? I guess I can Google around. I wonder if Hulu still has it.

I do. It was mostly them talking about Kevin's time on Leno (aside from the monologue, etc). At the end he was the special guest musician and he played a song or two.

OK, thanks, but I meant when that show was. It's no longer on Hulu, which only keeps a couple weeks' worth of shows. I found a torrent for a May 26th episode, which is the last one for May, so hopefully that's it.

I found this review [ew.com] of Eubanks' last show on "Leno".

I wonder if Leno has called Ricky Minor "Kevin" by accident or out of habit. Confused

According to Wikipedia, May 28 was the last Kevin show.

Finally, NBC executives made a good decision, most likely by accident.

OTOH they got rid of all the Conan stuff, which were the best Tonight Show episodes in 17 years.

Iagree The new band leader doesn't come in to any monologue jokes like Kevin did, he is always quiet.
