Got 2 of these for $30. It's not a bad controller, but if you're playing it exclusively for Switch, the Switch Pro controller is worth the +$10 more. Trust me!

Curious, why is the Switch Pro better? Was debating it for my switch.
This controller is legit. I use it for PC. Charger is nice and handy, and very sturdy. Be sure to check Warehouse (Resale) to see if one is on there for 20% off as well.
so i use this controller right now. i use it for pc and steam. only issue is that the back paddles are worthless. this controller does not send the right input data for steam to recognize the back paddles. at this point, it's just a normal controller. you might as well be better off getting an xbox controller simply for easier compatibility and for cheaper at this point

Switch dpad is trash. Also not hall effect so will study whereas this one should not. Given the shitty Joy cons, I'd go with this.

The 8BitDo is absolutely better than the Switch Pro imo

1. Amiibo support (I don't use)
2. HD Rumble (will admit, HD is better than regular rumble)
3. ? Better Motion Support ? - I don't know if this is true.
4. Switch Pro has the best feel of any controller, anywhere. The 8bitdo fatigues larger hands when playing longer than 30 min.

The D-pad is great on Switch pro IF you don't play Street Fighter / Tetris/ Puyo Puyo. Holy god it sucks for those games. Can't believe Nintendo hasn't fixed the defect inside of it.

Back controllers are indeed worthless.
I just noticed this is not the one for the switch, do not buy this.

There's no fix. All controllers do this. You might get better longevity with better plastics maybe? Idk but hall effect controllers don't cause wear from use that causes drift. I can't remember what games I played but even non exact input it was bad. I have a couple so that's all I use but any future gens I'm sticking to hall effect given the price is so reasonable now.

Some people have reported drift with hall but the % is extremely minor admittedly.
If the Switch's D-Pad was better and it had hall sticks, no controller on Earth could compete with it. It's otherwise near perfect.
