Snagged one. Always wanted a hall effect gamepad though I do have a thrustmaster T.16000M flight stick with hall effect sensors that I bought about 7 years ago but I hardly ever play flight/space sims.
I just cancelled my order because, yeah, it's not the bluetooth version, I think.
They are Bluetooth. Super confusing, but yes they do in fact work with my Steam Deck without the dongle. (The box indicates Bluetooth) The dongle has a better polling rate, but I couldn't feel the difference. Also the charging dock acts like a cradle for the dongle, so as long as the dock is connected with the dongle inside, it works.
I have two and love them. I prefer them to the KK3 because they are so easy to pickup and put down.

Thanks for the info. I just noticed the main differences between this and the 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller is the battery gives you 22 hours instead of 15, has motion controls (which could come in handy in emulated games that support it i.e. Zelda Breath of the Wild or Metal Gear Solid 4), and supports Switch (which this does not supposedly). Oh, and it's 10 dollars more I think I'll wait in the off chance the "bluetooth" variant comes down to $40. I feel better informed now about 8Bitdo's confusing categorizations Oh, by the way. How do you find the ergonomics of these 8Bitdo controllers? Some say their hands get tired after 20 minutes or so. The DualShock 4 was the most comfortable for me. XboxOne controllers made my hands hurt after a few hours.
