I hiked to Cathedral Spire in these sandals. They will get dirty and wet like any sandal. The material is super easy to clean though.

Are these the hard plastic ones or the soft ones? I already have a pair of hard plastic ones and I hate them.

I had the III a few years ago and they were fantastic beach and pool shoes or throw them on quick to take the garbage out and grab the mail shoes. Definitely less great if you're doing a lot of walking around those things, then I prefer their other slides that are a bit softer or have cushioning. The shower ones can't be beat though for the ability to wash them off or get them wet.
