Based on the feedback about the improved sound and the USB-C convenience, I don't think they will be in a hurry to get the rating."back up" as the other poster mentioned.
And frankly, for their. Intended use, an IPx5 rating (protection against water jets) seems reasonable. If your requirement for sweat resistance is IPx7 (immersed in a meter of water for 30 minutes), you may wish to consult medical professional.
I also have the OpenFit ones and unfortunately you can't use Loops with them because they don't have bone conductors. This is a drawback for me when cycling because the Loops takes away the wind noise and surprisingly amplifies important sounds and voices, but I can't hear music.
I'm going to assume that using Loops with V2 would reduce the open air sound but amplify the bone conductor, making it better in louder environments where you don't want to wear noise canceling in ear pods.
Edit: I read that the bone conductor part of the v2s aren't as good as the original, so if you're looking to have the bone conducting part be as good as the original, don't go with the v2s. The mix in one seems like a good idea for someone using them in not so loud environments, but for mix uses, it would be better to have a bone conductor and a open fit, separately, if money allows

For me, personally, OpenRun Pro 2 represent a HUGE downgrade. I'd recommend anyone thinking of buying these to try them on at BestBuy first.
BTW, sound quality is not that bad, especially on Pro / Pro 2. Think SiriusXM. Perfect for audiobooks and podcasts and IMHO good enough for background music.

OpenRun Pro 2 differs from both - mostly uses regular air conduction, USB-C charging (a minus for water resistance and ease of use IMHO - magnetic cable on OpenRun / OpenRun Pro is great), significantly (like 25-30%) reduced maximum volume.
