Below is what Cyberpower sent to me - note that re the windows reinstall, I did not do a cloud reinstall as I reset and reinstalled multiple times before getting these instructions and, at least at first, cloud reinstall was not working. Instead I did a reinstall from whatever local image was on the SSD. My guess is that if you do the firmware update BEFORE you allow Windows to update, you won't get the BSODs and won't need to reinstall Windows. Their link to the WD/Sandisk firmware support thread was valid and pretty helpful as I was able to install the Western Digital Dashboard from there that made the firmware update relatively automatic and quick.

I am sorry to hear that your PC is having issues. You are correct that the issue is with Western Digital and the most recent Windows update. I advise that you reinstall Windows and then update the SSD firmware by using the guides below. There is also some information in the SSD guide link that tells you about the issue.

Guide to reinstalling Windows (without a USB):

Step 1: At the log-in screen, click on the POWER button located at the bottom right corner
Step 2: Hold the SHIFT key and click on RESTART
Step 3: Let go of the SHIFT key when the PC restarts
Step 4: The PC will restart and enter the Recovery menu.
Step 5: Click on TROUBLESHOOT
Step 6: Click on RESET THIS PC
Step 7: Click on Remove everything
Step 8: Click on Cloud reinstall
Step 9: Click Next, Click Reset, and you are done.

What's with this 10% cashback? I need all the cashback I can get.
CapitalOne Shopping sends out emails with 10% off Walmart up to $250

Sign up for CapitalOne Shopping, install their browser extension, go to walmart and add this pc in your cart and then wait for up to 24 hours and you should get an email. Flip side is that the PC may go out of stock if you wait.

Anyone ever have any luck on Walmart giving a partial refund? I just ordered this a few weeks ago for the 1199 price. Brutal to see it at $999 now.

You can try calling but its YMMV. Their offical policy is not to price match new sales price but you might get lucky. If not, just return and rebuy.

Think it would be easy enough to just order to and return the new one? Lol

I think people referring to the 10% cashback are talking about this: https://www.walmart.com/cp/374709...yJhdGhjcGl
doubtful. It's up to "$20" (and the 3% cashback generally is up to $50 a year).

After shopping Black Friday and cyber Monday deals for my new build I wish I had just waited for this. This is a better computer for less money. This is slick but sounds like you need to update the ssd which isn't a huge deal.

I would check to verify that it's a Western Digital SSD first, as someone in the thread pointed out that it could have shipped with a different SSD that doesn't have the problem with this windows update. If it is Western Digital, absolutely the very first thing you should do with the computer is get the Western Digital Dashboard and update the firmware. Before I got that fixed I went through setting up the PC and trying different things three different times and I would say that each time, the crashes began within two to four hours of the first boot with a fresh install.

Does anyone who purchased this want to chime in with how loud the system is while browsing the web + watching youtube as well as how loud it is when gaming? Thanks in advance!

I bought this one over a week ago for about $1300 and it's still boxed. https://www.costco.com/iBUYPOWER-...57562.html

Would this current deal be just as good? Thoughts on returning the Costco one for this deal?

Features:
14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900F Processor
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 4070 Super Graphics, 12GB
2TB NVMe Solid State Drive
Gaming USB Keyboard + Gaming USB Mouse Microsoft® Windows 11 Home
I bought that Costco deal as well. This machine seems like a better buy for sure! Not sure if I'm willing to box the Intel + NVIDIA system and take it back. Tempting.
