Bad deal. Been there, done that and got rejected on trade in. Got charged full price and more. They wanted another ~$250 beyond the $269 for used S23.
The return period is 15 days.
The period for acceptance of a trade in is about 3 weeks.
If you try to return once you find out trade in was rejected, you can't. You can't even find a customer service to talk about it.

Make sure to document your trade-in by taking photos/videos of the device's condition before sending it. I traded in a pristine 1st gen iPhone SE with no damage for the S22. Weeks later I get an email stating the trade in was going to be rejected because there was a crack on the back of the phone that wasn't there before I had sent it in. The email also had photos attached showing the supposed damage. I had to contact their chat support and argue that the damage was likely caused by their inspectors or shipment receivers. Chat Support had me upload my photos of the phone's condition, which I'm glad I took beforehand. to prove my case. In the end, they relented and "manually completed" the trade-in, so I didn't end up getting charged the difference.

I've done more than a dozen trade-ins with Samsung over the years and this is the second time this scenario has happened, so ALWAYS take photos/video of your trade-in. $350 credit for a 1st gen iphone SE was a sweet deal despite the nightmare hassle of the rejection.

Got an S21 from the deal a few weeks back. Arrived in new condition with a new battery. First time with Android in over 4 years (last was a Pixel 4a). Coming from an iPhone 13 Pro, waiting for my iPhone 15 Pro to unlock (Verizon 60 day)

A few notes:
  • I was happily surprised about the Samsung migration assistant. Worked better than I expected.
  • I forgot how much I loved the spam texts/calls getting auto-blocked
  • Notifications are way better
  • Keyboard is way better
  • Ever since iOS 18 launched with RCS support, I didn't have issues with MMS/SMS from Android. Glad to see on the Android side it's also supported well texting my iPhone family
  • I missed having things sync to my Google account properly
  • So much Samsung bloat compared to the Pixel phones I had prior
  • Battery life is pretty bad. Way worse than my 3 year old iPhone 13 pro with a 86% capacity battery

Shows its there but when I checked out it said out of stock. Even let me order, but said it couldn't order. Weird. I was not available to get it this morning or I would have. Ugh.

Traded in my S21 5g for a S23 128gb
S23 phone was $269+ $47.98 tax for total of $316.98
I will be trading in an older S21 5g for $350 trade in credit
Good deal for me as I need a good backup phone

Got the S22, good deal at 179, but weird that tax is on the amount before promotion, so it was about +50usd tax bringing total to ~230usd.

The S21 is kinda weird when it comes to these deals. It's the only one I've noticed that doesn't ever explicitly say that it's out of stock. You'll either see a gray continue button, or it'll fail when adding to the cart. But you can get one with enough persistence and luck.

I ordered it and cancelled it after looking at the reviews for the battery and the support and trouble we get from Samsung customer support , not worth the risk and hassle and waste of time if the trade in is not accepted, I had an iPhone 4s
