I just posted this in the old thread, I wish they would combine both to help people interested.

I finally got the 3.4 set up. For context I'm coming from an Onkyo TR-NX 818. It had 130 watts per channel vs this at 100. My first day setting it up and playing around with it I was underwhelmed. I purchased the Klipsch RP 1200SW at the same time to pair with my KSW 15. I've had my KSW 15 for over 24 years and it has served me very well. Switching to a two subwoofer system has been amazing. At first that was the only thing that had impressed me. I was really second guessing the purchase of the Integra.

This morning I got up early, moved some furniture around, and played with the sub woofer placement. Then I ran Dirac for the first time. I did the full placement testing with the supplied mic. WOW … everything came alive. I can't wait to try Dirac with my laptop, then I'm going to buy the minidsp UMIK-1 mic.

I wasn't expecting to be wowed this much, especially coming from an Audyssey XT32 set up on my old TX-NR 818. I know it will progressively get better redoing it with the laptop, than the new minidsp mic. The bass has really tightened up. Original I didn't have both subs parallel from each other, so that helped also, at least with some standing waves. I don't feel the need to invest in an Emotiva Basx A3, or an Outlaw amp anymore. I probably will once I upgrade to 5.2.4, but for now I'm set and satisfied.

If you're on a strict budget and need 9.2 channels then the Onkyo TX-NR797 is a decent AVR for that price. Just be aware it was released in 2019 so lacks some newer features. No Dirac Live, eARC, pre outs, ALLM, VRR, QFT, QMS, etc., just to name a few. If you don't need 9.2 then the Onkyo TX-NR6100 (7.2) for $399, at Amazon, will have newer features including Dirac. For an AVR with 9.2 channels there's nothing that can touch the Integra DRX 3.4 at this price for all that it offers.

Maybe if I was strung out on meth and trying to pawn it for Jellyroll tickets.

There is no reciever at this price with 9 channels, pre outs, HDMI 2.1 on all ports, and Dirac built in. Also higher grade components compared to similar Onkyo and Pioneer models.

That is right off the spec sheet. The reason why I was aware of it is last summer I was helping a family member who wanted to replace his existing AVP as it was not HDMI. If the processing on the 3.4 is sufficient why bother with a $5k new AVP. Alas, his amps were 2.0 Vrms.
Users from AV Science have tested that the RZ50 pre outs goes almost up to 4V.

Not sure what you mean by fake reviews but Dirac is a very good(premium) RC.

I would say points more to how you actually do pay for Dirac and not free(included).
Thee main reason this is considered such a deal is Dirac after all.
My 2 cents dirac live on this unit is legit! Had a denon with audyssey prevously and it blows it out of the water. Running a 5.2.4 setup svs subs + 2xwith atmos svs elevation.
Been auditioning bunch of speakers past 4 weeks now, still havent decided Ascend Sierra LX or Lintons. Preamp on this also works fine paired it with a NC252mp class D amp from VTV.

Hmm interesting since the Dirac on this unit doesn't have/offer Dirac's subwoofer RC and has mono sub outs.

Audyssey offers different RC levels.
In my experience their MultiEQ-X gives you everything Dirac does including their subwoofer RC for $199.

A game changer for Audyssey is the new A1EVO. It definitely gives you all of Dirac results for the cost of their $20 Editor app!
Just my 2 cents.

Coming from a $350 Costco Denon to this is astounding the difference in sound with my speakers. My wife is the biggest critic and always tells me she can't tell the difference when I tweak something. This was immediate feedback. She commented how crisp and direct everything sound3d now. I am quite pleased.
Which was your old denon and what speakers u use

it's a mishmash. The center is a paradigm cc370. The fronts are some cheap Jamo towers. And the rears are Cambridge S300 dipoles. The receiver I replaced was a Denon S760. It was fine. Nothing was wrong with it. But the difference between the two systems is dramatic. I think the room correction and the cleaner power are probably the main difference. Even though we have a lot of curtains in the movie area, it is still a huge central room prone to just swallowing up sound. So more power was what it needed. Being able to tune out off tones using the room filters I think was key for my use due to the size and characteristics of the den area. The old stereo I think was being turned up a bit beyond its sweet spot often leading to the edge of distortion which also brings fuzzy noises and off tones from speakers.

Yeah I also just ordered a minidsp with umik1 yesterday. This is a good stopgap budget avr for me until the 2025-26 model or whatever replaces Denon 3800

Imo the 3800 will probably/likely be the goto for a while(ie rz50) imo

Feature wise it offers everything even the new RZ70 does and more.
Power advantage is easily negated(better) using the pre outs.

About the only other significance they could add is to include Dirac.
That would be a major mistake, it would increase the cost(nothing is free) & it's no longer needed especially for the added cost imo.

Being able to pay for it if and when you want to is the much better option imo.

Thanks for update actually i was a newbie and set up my home theater first time with Jamo package from adorama last Jan and denon s760 but haven't been satisfied . I just upgraded my center to 504 and plan to upgrade tower next year . But wanted to see if upgrading my receiver to integra will help to power more to my jamo and give a better immersive sound in my theater room in basement

I went from thinking the Jamo towers I have were meh to thinking wow I didn't realize how poorly that s760 was pushing them. I think you would be happy with it.

Can anyone recommend good speakers that will work well with this unit? How about those reference speakers that were on sale a few days ago? Looking to build out a home theater system.

Thanks that helps . I just saw a open box rz50 for 779 with tax n shipping so thinking should i go for that with total difference of 165 though i don't have any plans to add an amplifier for pre out ag this moment or its better to save 165$ and settle for integra

If people aren't happy with XT32 and the new directional subwoofer integration(when applicable).
People are finding out about A1EVO script that gives very much Dirac performance that's including subwoofer integration!

All you need is $20 Editor app & REW which is free!

It's quickly becoming a game changer and so good people no longer feel the need to get Dirac especially for the cost.

You actually don't even need a new model, as long as you have access to the Editor app you can use it!

This is junk and chassis rattles made of cheap materials. On Adorama they have over 5000 units left and their stuff is pushed here. I no longer buy promoted/staff deals from slickdeals anymore. Read AVS forum and other non promoted reliable sources before you buy !
