Fyi, there are various compatibility issues for the android model. It states it's compatible with Android 12 and newer, but buried it says there are several (popular) chipsets that have various issues. I have experienced those issues with my Pixel 7 and 8 Pro.l and can no longer use it.

I bought this for personal use to check my home yearly. I found the resolution really disappointing. Topdon sells at a similar price point without the deal but with much better specs imo. With the deal it's more reasonable but I wouldn't prefer it.

No it's not good for people in the woods.
This along with all phone thermal units are designed for <10ft only. They use different sensors than those cheap hunting units that designed for detecting thermal signals further out.
Different products different purpose. These are great for electricians and professional users conducting inspections but NOT for hunting or surveillance.

I received this as a xmas gift last year. I find it worthless. If you stop by my garage, you can have it. (android version).

This would detect that also.

I don't know why people keep messing with FLIR, SEEK thermal has a higher resolution unit that I've been very happy with for years.

That's not a camera... That's a single point IR thermometer. Great for what they are used for. But not the same as a thermal imaging camera. Try again.
that person may have been wrong and posted a different product, but some libraries do allow checking out a FLIR camera.

I bought one. Refresh is slow. Resolution is very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend these.

It will with the Apple OEM USB-C to Lightning adapter. Although then the camera hangs down from the phone several inches and it takes two hands.https://a.co/d/16FlzF4
Respectfully, is this an assumption or have you done it/found someone talking about how it works in a forum somewhere? I ask because that's just a link to the adapter itself which isn't a guarantee that it'll work.

If you're serious, I'll give you shipping for it. It's not worth gambling $150 on a badly reviewed unit just to try check for drafts and leaks that I have no reason to believe are necessarily there, but it'd probably be worth shipping. If I find it as worthless as you do I'll pass it on to someone else to try make use of it, maybe our use cases aren't what it's intended for.

Turn the heat up in the house and look for the moving cold spots. Reverse Psychology.

Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!

HARD PASS!!!!

https://www.amazon.com/Seek-Therm...B0DN399ZDX

Seek Thermal Nano $149 any day for android and apple far better with the latest thermal sensor.
I worked on the Seek Nano product, so I love to see this! We're also the only MFi-certified USB-C camera, at least that I know of. So if you have a USB-C iPhone then you're good with our camera too!

Wake me up when the FLIR ONE Pro is $200. I need one to finish insulating my home. I have 3 or 4 years to wait.

Yes, I have the adapter and it works to connect my Lightning FLIR to my USB-C iPhone 15 Pro. It functions identically to the way it did on my iPhone 12, except the FLIR now dangles down a few inches and it takes two hands (one to hold the phone, one to hold the FLIR) and I have to keep remembering to point the FLIR and not the phone at the target. The reviews for the adapter on Amazon include others also using it for this purpose.

I tried a Seek Thermal CompactXR and returned it. It was terrible compared to the 1st gen FLIR I had. I haven't seen a Seek thermal camera that does a visual outline like FLIR does. When everything is the same temperature, it is very hard to discern what you are looking at without a visual outline overlaid on the thermal image.

I had a lot of smoke getting in my house and was thinking about getting a blower door test for 500 bucks. Would getting something like this suffice in finding air leaks in my house?

NOTE: Not compatible with iPhone 15 and later with USB-C. For iPhone 15 and later see FLIR ONE Edge or Edge Pro
