To be clear, I wasn't endorsing or encouraging people to use Fidelity's advisory service, just pointing out that my parents do, have a ton of money with them, pay a ton of fees, and still don't get this free TurboTax offering, which is mind boggling to me.

But yes, I agree that paying $10k+/year in advisory fees is crazy, and I personally wouldn't do it, but that is what my parents prefer and it is their money.

Yes. You'll download the software the same way as per the other digital delivery methods used by retailers. You really only buy a license code.
