I wouldn't be surprised if Liberty Mutual did this on purpose to make people notice the commercial. Similar to cable providers increasing the volume when commercials come on. Insert a high pitched or cackling noise to get your attention.

Your comparison here isn't even remotely fair. The S90 listed for $1,199 was in a single store in New York that isn't carrying them any longer—it's disingenuous to throw this out there when 99.5% of people had no chance of buying one.

There will obviously be rare occurrences where a TV on a random shelf at some store in the country is sold for less, but it doesn't support your argument unless it's available to everyone.

If you're using an appleTV, Settings > Video and Audio > Audio Format > Change Format > turn on Dolby Digital 5.1

Found that on Reddit and it stopped the high pitch sounds. Still no clue on the cause.

No way I'm paying for a warranty. That's easy money for retailers.
I normally don't either, unless its the $3k 98qm8 and $200 warranty from Amazon, or an OLED. With a handful of kids that leave the TV on 24/7, that 20% insurance on the OLED will pay off most likely from BB, and I can see a few instances where only BB would pay out on that one.
I'm not 100% on the extended warranties, but this TV, at this exact price point (vs. $1501 where that warranty bumps up 50%) is something to really consider.

Samsung 77" Class - OLED S90 Series for $1,199 from Costco
Yes that's a great deal. If it were available anywhere near me anytime in the recent past, I wouldn't be spending time with this deal. . .

Hey about the other question. BB has the superior warranty. But Costco really has your back first 2 years, and will help after. It's the policy itself that has more restrictions than BB warranty, and a true 3rd party to get in the way. But for LED's (or a clearance OLED like yours) I would go with Costco if price+warranty were the same.

I just bought it, i think costco sold it for the same price but their 5 years warranty is cheaper, but i missed that deal.

From what I read i think the C3 has less issues than C4, C4 has a bit more brightness of some scenes (very small difference), but tend to have a green tint for side viewer (i have a sofa that sees the TV at an angle).).

It's a bit annoying to buy the 50usd membership just for this tv, but overall it was just under 2000 usd total including tax es in CA.

Beautiful TV. Got it last week when Costco was selling their floor models. If you have a Costco near you you might check. They were willing to negotiate. I bought the 77, 65, and 55 for $2000. Hours weren't that high, but I would check.

Same here. I seldom buy warranties, except for very big purchases .Let's face it - stuff today breaks a lot, they do it on purpose "planned obsolescence" this is why the fridge the previous owner left me which is from the eighties still works in my garage while i replaced already 3 fridges in the last 15 years..

hence buying an extended warranty is the only way i can feel i got the TV covered for 5 years at least.

Damn just last year I paid about the same for my 75" Hisense mini led. 77" OLED for that price is great.
dont feel bad. it's always the case, you enjoyed a full year with a good TV, it's a neverending cycle with Tech.

The extra $400 off is for members only. It will still be $1899. It is $1896 at Amazon right now as well.

Had a 77 c9 with 5 year warranty that had burn in on certain colors that I didn't notice until recently. Called geek squad made appointment they came and confirmed, got approval by email later that day for a replacement and call the number to see my options. Just called last week they said my approved tv is the c3 and gave me a $2000 gift card which was the price at the time and got to keep my old tv. Just purchased this with 5 year warranty for less. I'm stoked

Nice. That's how I see this TV playing out for me, well I don't think my check will also cover the replacement warranty cost and some left--the stars all aligned for you!!!

This warranty is better. The deal or the warranty cost from BB doesn't always fit for me like this one.

If anyone missed out on the cyber Monday deal for this TV it's back for 1499.99 but I believe you must be a Best Buy plus member or higher. So basically it's 49.99 for the membership which includes 60 returns on any thing you buy. 5% back on the CC or 24 months no interest which for many may help.
