Here's an excerpt from their return policy for refurbished products: "PURCHASES MADE AT A DISCOUNTED (I.E. EITHER SALE OR REFURBISHED) PRODUCT PRICE ARE NOT SUBJECT TO RETURN AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON."

F4 is fine in sunlight or good indoor lighting. Tough at night or when lighting is poor indoors. F2.8 becomes more usable but personally I often found myself wanting even wider for those situations when I had a F2.8 zoom anyways.

So personally if I were still using APSC I'd just stick to an F4 zoom and get a couple fast primes (which I had to with F2.8 anyways) for nights/indoors. Zooms on APSC can be tough because of this.
If you don't mind, what do you mean by *fast* primes? Fast as in lower F = better aperture = shorter exposure times?

Definitely 18-55 ... Best kit lens ever
Out of honest curiosity, what makes it the best kit ever?

Your equivalence is correct. In photography parlance, a wider aperture (lower F number) is associated with more light allowing faster shutter speeds (lower exposure times).

I always thought it was weird calling a lense fast when the shutter mechanism is in the camera body, and nothing about the lens is directly measured in speed. But that equivalence (2 dimensions of the exposure triangle) does dominate when you are trying to freeze motion, if all other things (depth of field and ISO/graininess) are held constant.

Great deal . I would buy it with the 16-80mm. To whoever concerns about refurbished, would you prefer a used one from eBay or FB marketplace etc. or a refurbished direct from Fujifilm ? Do you get return policy or 90 days warranty from private sales? You don't think the price here is great? You should not worry about this refurbished one

With eBay, at least, you get pictures of the exact item you're about to buy and a description of its condition. You do have a chance to file a dispute with eBay if the item is not as described. According to Fujifilm's return policy they could, literally, send you a turd in a box or a scratched up, half-broken camera with 100,000 shutter count and you would not be able to do anything about it, other than rely on their good grace to warranty it in those 90 days. A return policy that is not rotten should at least include a clause for a DOA product to be if not returned then, at least, exchanged.

I have an X-T4. Any reason to sell mine and get this? I only take photos a few times a year when traveling...
i'm just a hobbyist, so take with salt
i went from xt2 to xt5. taking photos of my kids is my primary use. i didn't find it was worth the upgrade. autofocus is much better, about 1.5stops better low light, higher res is good and bad - good because more space for crops/rotation, bad because larger files.
obviously, there are several other upgrades, but these are the main features that affect my amateur needs

The real question is: 18-55 or 16-80?
I've got both. Got the 18-55 with my x-t30 then did Spain with it. Then got the 16-80 after to use with my xt5.
I think I prefer the 18-55 on size alone, and while I thought I might want the extra wide and zoom ends it made my xt5 big enough that I barely want to use it.
Small and compact is life if it'll get you to use it

Always fun to see a series of replies that explain nothing. Not helpful.
Posting a completely different full frame camera is less helpful

I own this camera and brought it to many trips across USA. I also owned many other camera brands before like the Sony A7iii and Panasonic gh4. There is no camera that make me feel exciting about taking pic like the Fujifilm with film simulation. The jpeg quality that this camera produces is supreme. Definitely one of the best camera in Fuji X series lineup.

Another user uploaded this 90 day warranty card that comes with refurbs https://imgur.com/InrDPBR

So seems like no returns, but a 90 day warranty

I was surprised to learn that a 40MP sensor is APS-C.

Why is it not helpful to post a superior alternative that costs less?
