Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

The trick would be for everyone to price match with bestbuy without purchasing at Costco, that way in theory more people can take advantage of the offer.

You may need to mention your location to get a better answer. As of now Napa, CA has 4 in stock. Vallejo, CA had 2 in stock last night. That's all I could see close to San Francisco Bay Area which is around my location.

Isn't it better to buy from Costco for the extra year warranty? I understand you may be able to stack the PayPal 5% cashback offer with Best Buy.

For those who said you can get Costco to refund the difference if purchased within 30 days, doesn't Costco offer a 90-day return period?
So, why wouldn't you just return the original purchase and re-buy at the sale price today?
By extension, wouldn't Costco refund the difference to save the hassle of return/rebuy if within the 90-days?
