Apparently it's possible to increase brightness to 1000 nits with software, it was software limited to 600 for battery life. The apps are called Vivid or BetterDisplay

Local costco showed a bunch in stock in the app last night, but none this morning. Price matched to BB on the first try. Ended up using a $1200 gift card I received yesterday from a geek squad claim on our TV. Upgrading from a M1 Air 8gb/256gb.

The $1,400 M4 MacBook Pro does NOT have Thunderbolt 5. The M4 Pro MacBook Pro does which is currently selling for $1,900 at Best Buy.

One thing you can do is go to sameday.costco.com and search for the $1250 M3 Pro. My local Costco isn't coming up with it on my phone, so you may have to use a desktop browser. If you can find a zip with it in stock, just send them the direct link. I fought and fought with BB and finally their manager just did a 1-time for me because I was so persistent.

Just got mine as well price matched after more than 15 chats with different agents. Asked to talk to the manager and he just sent me the invoice. Arriving by Thursday.

Still on time, this M3 PRO for 1250 is a WAY better deal than the M4 base at 1399. It's a better deal even at same price, sorry.
