Damn. Yep. It happens.

Back on topic though…I picked up this deal about a week ago on Christmas Eve

But it's been egging at me if I should have got the Base model MBP M4 for $1399 instead. 10cpu/10gpu/16gb/512gb. Better screen, better battery, and beats out this M3 Pro model in certain benchmarks.

Has anyone else been thinking the same? I need some reassurance that I made the right decision going with this M3 Pro model over that
$150 less
Way Better gpu
2gb more ram
Almost 2x faster ssd performance
Better cooling (2 fans vs 1). Prob quieter
And m5 is around the corner in sept. M4 won't be "latest"

i was able to get the pricematch just now. not sure if I should keep it though. M4 Pro has a lot better single and multi-core, even better display, longer battery life.... plus TB5 ports.. debating whether it's worth the extra $400

Where are you finding the M4 Pro chip for $400 more?

Has anyone tried pricematching at Best Buy for the Silver version of this laptop (MRX63LL/A)? Costco only carries Space Black (MRX33LL/A).

Nobody is going to do notice a difference between in terms of SSD performance. Gamers didn't notice any difference between a SATA SSD drive and an NVME drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DKLA7w9eeA I doubt 99 percent of people here have any niche use case for a faster ssd.

I didn't. I thought about it for 2 days because I didn't think it'd work. This thread was already mostly inactive and I figured they'd stop pricematching. Yesterday, I figured I'd just try it and maybe I got lucky on first try because the agent said he'd be able to match Amazon (showed as OOS in both colors). He did try to push a credit card and Total coverage plan though.

Probably more like $450 more. I thought the low has been $1699? If not, then $500 more.

I too would be interested in knowing - once you get the Space Black one delivered, can you try to take it in store and exchange for silver?

That $1699 deal ended on Xmas eve big dog.

M4 Pro has been back up to its regular $1999 since then.

Just got Best buy to price match on the second attempt an hour later. First one wouldn't match since it was out of stock and the second one sent me a link.

I was able to get Best Buy support to price match twice. It took multiple attempts for each price match. The first time, I decided to pay with Apple Pay to get 5% back with my CC. The support representative initiated a refund for the difference. Ended up getting a follow up email saying the refund was denied due to OOS. The second time, the support representative provided a secured payment link to pay!

How you did that? Did they price matched with Costco as it's showing as OOS pretty much everywhere.
