I have a set of these and they've held up well. I've also found one of these carbide sharpeners to be the quickest/easiest way to maintain the edge https://www.amazon.com/Corona-Sha...000BPASBK/

How long does a sharpener like this last you? Thanks

Edit: I own this and its fine esp at this price. Won't blow you away as they have different lines and this is clearly the lower end kind. I got the 3 tool set that included this and have been very happy given the price. Again not the top line stuff and not extending should be considered

I really only use the sharpener for the pruners. The carbide still looks brand new; I don't imagine I'll ever have to replace it.

This is 391461-1003. Home depot has 391651-1006 on sale for $19.99. Is this an older model or what's the differences? (I see a few visual differences like the black and orange stripes near the blades.)

I ended up buying the carbide sharpener and it made my shears work like new. Saved me some money, thanks!

I have the extendable and really like them. They can cut through just about anything you can fit in them. These are probably good too but all things equal I'd go for the extendable
