I got 45 of these about 7 years ago from my local Home Depot for $5 each. It was actually a set of the lopper plus pruner for $5 (so I got 45 loppers + 45 pruners for $225). I've only used 2 of them so far because they are like indestructible and never get dull either no matter how much you use them. Ive used them many hundreds of times and made many thousands of cuts to on pretty thick branches from crabapple trees which have this ridiculous wood that is almost as tough and strong as iron. Here was the deal: https://slickdeals.net/e/10727875-fiskars-bypass-lopper-and-bypass-pruner-combo-set-2-piece-5-home-depot-in-store-pickup?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue&src=SiteSearchV2Algo

The nearby walmarts are shoveling out their seasonal stuff. Some of it is the remnants from last year. This is a fine time to find a few things marked down in the yardwork section. YMMV.

Amazon doesn't charge your card until they ship the product.

The blades in these suck nowadays. I have 15 year old + one made in the UK, and there's no chips or bends on it. These Chinese blades have soft metal that break very easily.

Just sharing that I ordered these when they came up on sale a couple weeks ago and they were oddly delivered by USPS in about 7 days. I've already used them to trim a crabapple (purely a coincidence to the other person's post) and they worked great - definitely worth $15. I could say they're not the worst or not the best I've used but it's probably going to be the tool grabbed most often when heading out for general trimming because it does work well and I won't feel bad if I lose it or break it like I would with my "great" $50 pair.

Indeed. Getting the items in store without any shipping costs is always good. Target also does the same thing with blowing out their seasonal stuff if you can't find anything at Walmart. Though by now Target is likely long sold out of landscaping tools, especially in areas with little use for them in the winter like the northeast.
