My experience with InfiMobile has been fine. I tried a 6-month, minimal data plan (500MB/month) with them for a non-critical phone last year. It was dirt-cheap like $18 total so just $3/month. It went fine so I just renewed it for a year for $36 total ($60 - 40% off coupon).

Now because of the whole Red Pocket fiasco, I have moved two important lines over to InfiMobille on their 10GB annual plan for $99. One of the lines is already active for two weeks and no problems so far except initial APN setup (did not do it automatically so I followed online instructions for VZN-based service when I actually had a TMO-based SIM from them).

I have had limited interactions with InfiMobile customer service, which I guess is positive as it means things have worked okay. But when I did chat with them about the APN mixup I just mentioned, it was fine.

Anyway, point is that InfiMobile has worked fine for me, so much so that I have just moved over two important lines from Red Pocket because of the fiasco there. Not saying that my experience will be what everybody has (for example, it did not work well for you). But it seems to be working out well for many folks.

Can you explain the Red Pocket fiasco? Or provide a reddit or news article link or share your experience with the Red Pocket fiasco. Is the problem with only verizon phones? Thx in advance.
Red Pocket has done some pretty silly stuff over the last couple of months that have turned off their customer base. You can find a general summary earlier on in this thread at:

Does anyone know whether any of these prepaid plans can be used to *extend* an existing infimobile line? For example, if you are 11 months into a 12-month prepaid plan, can you somehow add on one of these cards? Thanks for any guidance. I searched this thread for 'extend' and 'stack' but no results.

perhaps not... May need to port out and port in again one year later. or just buy the 2-year plan.

Not to mention they have added shipping charge on their ebay plans. They even charge shipping fee for renewals as well. $30 annual plan has gone up to $45 + $6 shipping + tax. Thats why people are getting out of RP.

If I sign up for a new phone number, will I get a choice to pick from a few numbers or deal with whatever number they give?

Which cell phone service provider gives that option?

Several years ago, I went to a local Verizon store and got a choice of numbers to choose from.

I needed e-sim activation for my phone today (Mint year expiring) so I got the 10GB for $99 plan from the infinimobile website directly. Activated in about 20 minutes.
Did you get the VZ or TMo esim? Anyway to let our preference be known before buying?

Date of purchase or date of sim delivery?

Not sure about extending existing plan using this one from Amazon, but here's the information I got from the customer rep last time I asked them about extending my existing 10GB plan with the new $99/yr 10GB promo that they have going right now:
Quote :
To get the $99 plan, follow these steps:
Go to Quick Recharges on our website https://infimobile.com/recharge.
Enter your number and select the Change Plan option.
Choose the One Month $21 10GB Plan.
Click on Recharge Now and select the Pay in Advance option.
Under the Order Review section, you will have the option to choose the $99 plan.

yes, check the product details on Amazon, it tells which service provider it belongs to.

It states to activate the service, upfront payment is required. There are additional costs on top of the stated price on Amazon?

I moved a few lines from Red Pocket to the IM 10G/$100 a month ago. Has been great so far, zero issues, good speeds.

What's the definition of "new user"? New number / port from other carriers?

The wife and I did a 6 month 10gb promo with them. Everything was great. We use Google voice so the number they assign to us is not an issue. Got the $120 deal two weeks ago. It was a bit more expensive then since it included a small shipping charge. Used the same online account and same phones for this promotion.

This was incredibly helpful. Thank you for the directions. I would never have found that on my own.

Repped.
