fix % off in deal calculator...the $949 is for the R8. The $4299 is for the R5 Mark II...apples and oranges to put it lightly

I recently got an r5 ii for $3400 and rf 24-105 2.8 Z for $2400 from same merchant. Live the dream, low ball :-)

Receipts in box showed the full retail price too. PA seller.

I've read the threads about Greentoe - most have been positive. They deal with authorized Canon dealers...

It's just the ' we're telling you from where until you buy it's thing - like the hotel Priceline thing

It just makes me apprehensive. That R5 mark it is calling to me

i only have 1 experience, it was for a sony a74, and it was great, came from a well known dealer with warranty card. its a little wink, wink because they ask you not to mention how much you paid since you are paying below minimum advertised price. i did read some warnings about customer service if you have to return an item, but if you are sure you are gonna keep it then its a good deal.
fwiw i also did not get charged tax, so that was nearly $200 difference because i live in NYS

For what it's worth, I bought several pieces of expensive ($2,000+) pieces of gear from them: lenses, and a FF body, five years ago. They came from smaller authorized dealers I've never heard of. No issues. I understand they don't like returns. So that's basically what you give up. Unless there is an issue with the gear. They take it back in that case. It's just not your usual easy return process.

I've bought over $15,000 in gear from GT in the last 5-6 years, and the only issues I had are with shipping but they were early on and were addressed quickly.

No regrets. I grabbed the R5 Mark II a few weeks ago from them. Perfect experience. No taxes and they even included a receipt for the company that sold it to me.
