Available Options:About Edgedancer (The Stormlight Archive):
  • Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older—a wish she believed was granted. Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers. The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility.

All of these are phenomenal. For those wondering- Edgedancer and Dawnshard are both short stories that take place in the Stormlight Archive series - and each introduces fairly important characters in full detail - but can be read as standalone stories and are super accessible.

Mistborn secret history will Make absolutely ZERO sense if you've not read preferably all (but at least the first three) of the mistborn books - and contains heavy spoilers for that whole series.

Great deals.
Journey before destination, Gancho.
Fascinating! Would you go as far to say...it falls under fiction?

FYI, a lot of it is not factual.

I'd say it's more accurate to call it not non-fiction…

Repped! I needed that...

Also, the Secret History and Edgedancer are in Arcanum Unbounded, if you already own that.

This.

Also, a lot of hardcore fans like Edgedancer less because it is lighter, but it's actually my second favorite novela of his.

New to Sanderson and reading Mistborn - amazing!

Would it make a difference to read Edgedancer and Dawnshard before or after Stormlight Archive saga? TIA

EDIT: Sanderson lays out where these fit in the series here https://www.brandonsanderson.com/...WAYOFKINGS

i cant wait for them to get better with AI where AI can read the books, analyze the story, add characters voices, music and sound effects, and produce something worth listening to from a text. i know its a ways off, but i believe they can do it.

the only question is how long will it take open source to do it so it wont be on a subscription....
I assume it will still have a cost similar to audio books now. Unless you mean an AI that will read a book you purchased to you. Like an advanced TTS though I could see major pushback there.

I want to get into all of Sanderson's books -- but I don't know about picking these 3 up (since they're going to wait until I get the rest, which will be when they're on sale). Any odds on these going on sale again in the future?
