Agent:

Hi Thomas, nice to meet you.
I checked your account and you were under our
SAVE10 promotion where you get $10 off for 5 years and you are on our $45 premium plan already.

Thomas:
That is correct. The SAVE15 promo brings it down to $30. I was hoping you could apply that or else l'll just downgrade to the basic plan and then upgrade using that promo. But wanted to just avoid having to do that

Agent:
Upon checking your request that you will step down and ask if we can add the SAVE15 promotion to get $15 off for 25 months, unfortunately upon reading the terms and condition for the SAVE15 promotion, it states that : agents will not be able to apply the SAVE15 promotion if the member is already on the $45 premium plan and request to step down and wanted to add the SAVE15 promotion to their account.

I deeply apologize but we can not add the SAVE15 promotion after you step down and upgrade back to the $45 premium plan. I advise you not to step down because when you step down, you will loose the SAVE10 promotion that were applied to your account

Here is another way to save some extra money: if you have some (older) unlocked phones or or eSIM slots in active phones available you can create and activate new accounts for other people in your household. You'll get a $20 credit per referral in the referring account and the new account gets a $20 discount off the first month. Choose the $25 plan without any other promo codes (since they can't be combined with the referral credit). Once the new account is active turn off autopay and close the account before the first month is over (or just don't pay which suspends service and eventually cancels it). You'll essentially pay $5 for the $20 credit on your permanent account. You can use one referral credit per month so your already discounted $30 plan comes down to $10 as long as you have referral credits banked (you can bank up to 12). I recently did this with my son's account (who recently signed up for the promo $30 plan for 25 months. I also had statement credit offers on 3 Citi cards that were worth $25 each for any purchase from visible. The $5 first month payment for the throw away accounts triggered the credits so I made another $60 along with the 3x$20 referral credits my son received.

Yes I am currently paying $45 so really no risk for me to try (minus possible issues with watch eSIM) but I did reach out to Chat, and 1st attempt, no go. I will reach out again when I have time since might get lucky with an agent that might figure out the process that could work.
I was thinking the same. You be no worse off. On page 5 I just saw a post saying he was on $45 and followed the posted instruction and it worked for him. No specifics. Just an FYI. So maybe there's a way or there's been a change in terms so it does work. 🤞

I wonder if I should bother? I live in very rural part of my state and would only get 5g at most. I will never own a watch. I do use the hot spot a lot. I just wonder that in 25 months will I be able to get the lower tier for $25 again.

I'm still grandfathered in to the $25 a month plan and it's goin strong.
Agreed. They should offer us grandfathered in the option of $20 a month deal like the new users are getting.

Any offers for the folks who moved from TMOB $15 plan?
I'm locked in for 5yrs at 15$ when I moved from TMO to visible couple months ago, Visible + will be 30$, not sure if it's worth, visible base plan gets lower priority when in crowded places as others have mentioned, data didn't work at all in Disney MK over the end of year, phone calls worked though.

Well, I guess I should have read the entire thread before doing anything, I just changed my exisitng visible+ account and ended up losing my discount. Now instead of being $35/mo, my statement shows I owe $45/mo. Facepalm
Just port out to a cheaper verizon mvno, and when they run the promo again jump back in

I guess I am not going to renew annual plan unless some special comes in for annual plan.. will switch to monthly V+ once my annual is complete.. special deal for existing customers is sweet.. no complaints on the V+ service for almost 15+ months now...

I've been paying 25 since "party pay", like 5 years ago, but I guess I'll hop on this as I would like my Apple Watch connected. In 2 years there's no reason to believe they will even keep the $25 tier. There's no rule that says it has to exist.

Hope they support Android watch support soon ?
Unlikely, it has to do with the setup of the watch. The Apple setup is done through the watch app and works for them because it is so well integrated.

Verizon has 'owned' Visible since 2018…..
what timeframe are you referring to that the CS went 'down the shitter' ?
Who exactly owned visible before Verizon? I thought it was started and always their company.

Is it really noticeable? I'm thinking of upgrading the family
It is. Speeds are over 150 Mbs and 5g uw never deprioritizes. 50 gb with priority is more than enough for LTE.

Cool - I was hoping they'd throw existing customers a bone. Way better than having to mess with switching carriers away & back again because they didn't let you use this code as an existing customer before.

Data on the normal Visible plan I've been on for probably 2+ yrs now @ $25/mo seems to be pretty clearly deprioritized in higher traffic areas. Haven't tested that yet, but here at home, where reception isn't great, I wasn't expecting 5G UW nor was I expecting to pull 300mbps (before, at best, I'd pull maybe 5-60 but it wasn't reliable or consistent).

Yep, see above.
Exactly. I live in Seattle near both of the big stadiums, and on game days, my grandfathered $25 plan felt like I was on 3G speeds. I would have to rely on connecting to wifi networks to get anything done. After switching to the + plan, my connection became usable again.

My biggest gripe is that at some point they removed the Apple Watch plan that was initially complimentary with the + plan.
