About this Item:
  • Wyze Robot Vacuum uses an invisible spinning laser (LIDAR) to build an exact map of your home. You can see, edit, and save the map in the Wyze app.
  • Using the map built by the LIDAR sensor, the Wyze Robot Vacuum divides each room into sections and cleans in the most efficient path possible.
  • Specialized sensor groups help the vacuum move around obstacles and detect stairs and walls.
  • The edge-brush sweeps debris towards the center of the vacuum. A high-torque center brush works in tandem with 2100 Pa of suction power to pull up every bit of dust and dirt off your floor.
  • Don't want to move a finger? Just say "Hey Alexa, tell Wyze Robot Vacuum to clean the kitchen."
  • Wyze Robot Vacuum drives itself back to the charging station after it's finished cleaning. If battery runs low during a longer cleaning, it returns right back to where it left off after auto-recharging.
  • Average Battery Time (110 Minutes Standard Mode)

I have 2 of these from last 2 years. Check out my several posts on vacuum threads on this forum.

Long story short, the battery for each unit has degraded considerably. Both vacuums started dying in the middle of cleaning. I have now divided the floor plan into small rooms and I clean each of these "rooms" daily but with an interval for it to fully charge in between. So it will start cleaning at 12 am, then 2.30 am then 5 am and as such. I think I have about 4 of these rooms created.

The second vacuum has degraded quite a bit, to where it cannot even cover 1 large room without breaking it into multiple room parts.

The software, mapping, indicators, notifications are all good... So no complaints there. It's a great vacuum for the price except for the battery and the fact that the software cannot handle a low capacity battery very well..

If you buy this be warned that Wyze does not sell replacement batteries. After using mine daily for 2 years, mine can no long complete vacuuming a small area and even dies before it can return to the dock. There are third party batteries but I don't trust their advertised capacity and quite a few people say they'll no longer work after 6 months which is similar to my experience with 3rd party dyson vacuum batteries.

Years ago, I got the Wyze Robot 200S. Overall, it's a decent product. (I never had competitors to compare it to, though.) One complaint is the lack of firmware and app updates: I haven't noticed one for years, and it can be glitchy sometimes. The second complaint is for the people and animals who live in my house that make it difficult to use an automated vacuum because it requires too much pre-cleaning to make it worthwhile lately.

For those of you who break up rooms into smaller rooms, any tips on that? It only seems to let me draw rooms based on exterior walls. So for example I can't use the island in the kitchen to carve up the kitchen and eat in area connected to it.

Got mine for Christmas and so far been great. Replaced an old bump and go Eufy. The big downside is the dust bin is REALLY small, but since runs better unattended, I can do more often which means has to collect less.

It will use the walls to mark room boundaries. You can get creative by making non rectangle rooms.

The battery is removable. They sell replacement batteries on Amazon for around $30.
Yes, I know it is removable.
I just didn't want to take any chances with lithium batteries sourced from China. They might be safe but I'm not certain of the testing standards, etc.

This was what I was wonder.... my old dumb robots couldn't keep a charge and the daily runs would potentially get the same area 5 times and others none.
If I can tell it to do room 1 on Monday, room 2 on Tuesday, etc... then we might have something.
Yes, definitely doable. The software is quite good for everything including adding no go zones, scheduling, etc.

I bought mine for $200 3 yrs ago and have been happy with it. Why is it "only" $100 these days?

I get what you're saying, that you don't want cheap knockoff Chinese batteries with 20% stated capacity.

That said, your comment made me chuckle since like 90% of lithium batteries come from China 😂

Pretty sure the entire vacuum and it's battery are made in China. I've had this for 3 years. No real complaints but it's more of a touch up vacuum for thick carpets, we still use a regular vacuum once a week. Works great on hardwood though. I live with 4 girls with long hair so I have to clean the brushroll every few weeks.

This is basically 2018 technology. It's the most rudimentary Xiaomi design there is/was.

It'll work better than many vacuums (especially anything at $99) but the rate of improvement when going up to a #150-$250 roborock is very high.

I would rather have 1-2 really competent robot vacuums than 8 mediocre ones roaming my house.

I saw it at $99 from Walmart 10 hours ago, they must be out of stock through Walmart now.
