I don't think I've seen a heavier duty shelving setup like this at this price point before. Most are 24" deep so at 18" it would likely work better for most folks who don't have the 2 foot depth on the sides of their garage but need some really stout shelving with the metal shelves.

It's a good rule of thumb to place the heaviest items on the bottom shelf, then progressively place the lighter items on the shelves above and tie the top to a stud.

I wonder heavy this is.. delivery guy will not be happy if you order 4 of this... Even more pain when you decide to return it in store.

Yeah looks like it might be wider which makes this an even better deal. Not that I'd be upset with 18in either way. I bought two for a new garage I'm having built. You can't find anything comparable for this price Lowe's home Depot and Amazon all want the same amount for one as two of these. Another huge plus is it's all metal no MDF to get messed up if it gets damp in the garage.

A lot better construction than most of the shelving deals that show up here. Does anyone know if 18 deep by 72 high is a tip hazard though? I have some that high but 24 deep.

You could tie it to the wall at the top to stablize it like you would with a tall bookshelf.

I ordered this a couple of days ago. It should be here tomorrow. My garage floor has a decline, so I plan on using lag screws to attach it to the wall.
