Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

It's slick cause of the price compared to what it normally sells for, not because of how it compares in your mind to another product

Store had 4 in stock. 2 open ones covered in snow and 2 in still in the crate. I requested one of the ones in the crate for pickup next weekend. What are the chances they actually give me the one in a crate

Will this work if you just sign up for the card? Also on their site terms say $100 max.

They're buying online 20% coupons with no limit. These were huge years ago but have mostly been stamped out. Apparently there are still some places to grab 'em.

I just tried to add it to cart online and it's saying it's available online for $1999. Not sure if zip code matters but I'm in northern Virginia.

I bought a 10% off coupon and tried to use it but it says the mower is not eligible for coupons.

Assembly Charge: does anyone only what exactly that is comprised of in this case? Wondering if I should've left that unchecked and gotten it in a crate that's easier to transport and then I can assemble myself later

Wish I knew what these came like pre-assembly

My Lowe's had 5 in stock at $1999. 3 that were built but had been sitting outside and 2 still in crates. Bought a crate one and will pick it up Wednesday after they assemble it. Thanks OP! The batteries alone are with this price. I wasn't in the market for a mower but at this price I'll see how it compares to my 20 year old gas 48" husky
Are the batteries alone worth the price or are they regularly listed at a price that high? I used to work retail so I know for example there's entire sections and products where they expect to not sell anything all year round, short of a few emergency purchases and such, the margins on which fund the bonus & commission for the year, and aside from that they maintain low inventory and stock then only for Black Friday and Christmas etc at which time they're "for sale" for 4 straight months at 40-60% off

I just don't trust pricing these days and the tool I used to use to check eBay sales pricing has been made subscription only.

In other words, do you know what ppl actually regularly pay for these batteries and that mower?

Unrelated but companies are testing (and some have already implemented) using cameras to scan the face, age, clothing, race, etc and run all that data through an algorithm that determines in real time what you're willing to pay, and then the digital e-Ink price tag display is updated just for you with the maximum price they have determined you are likely to pay.
If you're frequenting a store that is using or beta testing these programs…try to find another store.

See any specific examples available with digital delivery?

I didn't expect to get a call from an assistant store manager asking if I wanted to buy a 2nd unit because the district manager needs to get rid of them all asap/before a certain date.

As for the guy that bought 5 and had 5 break, Makes me wonder if these are all older models made years ago and there's a parts availability issue or something. I doubt Ego is the type to say "sorry these are no longer made or available, all we can do is offer you a discount on this $400 EGO blower" and the only alternative is send it in for a repair that's technically covered but has $1,000 shipping and handling or something

I have no idea, don't get me wrong, just find this very interesting and am thinking about some of the issues I've seen in tech retail space over the years when products reach EOL

Seems like they know something we don't. I've got family in multiple states/regions checking this out with different results. Some have no sale price at all and just a few available

Others have a lot with no sale prices.

Others have a considerable number in the region and this huge discount…missing batteries and chargers are an issue with every store I've gone to and spoken to so far.

But what I really didn't expect was to get a call from a assistant store manager asking if by any chance I wanted to buy MORE because the district manager said they need to get rid of them asap and before a certain date. Makes me wonder if these were all manufactured a while back and warranty issues will be dealt with in a "sorry these are no longer made or available, all we can do is offer you a discount on this $400 EGO blower" or something

I have no idea, don't get me wrong, just find this very interesting

I was in the store, was looking at their computer, this discount good until April 30, it said over 100 was bought last week.
