You're SD staff. Can you not link us because you're afraid of distracting from this paid posting?

Genuinely asking.

Good enough to reply with then should be good enough to link. If you are indeed referring to 240w cables with a meter display because nothing is showing fitting that price point.

I think the downvotes are because people doubt that they're able to find reliable, better cables on ali for less than 3 bucks. The cables you linked are better but are also 4x the price.

For reasons others have already said, these are great cables to have around at a good price.

You don't need 100w cable to just charge phone
They're less than Anker's lower wattage cables right now though. I'm sure those go on sale too, but less than $3 a cable is cheap enough for me not to care.

Classic example of you get what you pay for. I've bought the cheapos....never again.
They can take their shot at those. They're not Anker.

is my math right - these cables do ~ 50% of the transfer of thunderbolt 3?

Are these cables good for charging consumer line HP, Lenovo, Dell laptops using an appropriate usb-c charger?

You can get a 240W for less than $3 @ aliexpress. It has been more reliable than Anker
I haven't ventured into 240w ones yet but I think I will this year when I get a new laptop, so will def be looking at these. Is there a power/length limits? or just go lower awg?

Quote from RazorConcepts :
I get the wattmeter ones with the digital display. $2 each

I still have them for when they first came out like 3-4 years ago, i paid $10 for 2 from alix. i did use them like 5-10 times only, to verify wattage on my anker and baseus usb-c chargers... quite interesting and useful, but def not as useful as one would think unless you're testing stuff daily.
Quote from KNlCKS :
Is this that new cable they showcased in CES that lasts 100 years of twisting and folding?

i do not know... but unless they specifically call it out, i'd def just refer to their specs. anker usually fairly reliable for not over embelishing stuff
Quote from Red2play :
I don't know why its being downvoted but I'd rather pay 3x for 240W cables than the 100W cables unless you need a bigger bend radius. The 240W Thunderbolt cables go 40G for data transfer. I'll never buy 100W cables again. If you want a true cable that can do 4K vid @240Hz, 40Gb data transfer (usb4 v2.0 Thunderbolt 4). The cheapest your going to find them is here https://www.walmart.com/ip/coming...36e9d4c748 without going to alliexpress.

this is a very specific cable, mostly to either power new monitors or charge gaming laptops... but most people will need these to charge phones, so while your cable maybe nice (I didnt try it ), it's also about 10x overkill to charge phones.

I personally like alix alot... i prob have 50 orders there over the last 3-4 years, but I also generally have specific needs when I go there, and if I needed usb-c cables to charge phones, i'd def get this over alix, for extra $5 savings over 5 cables (or $1 per cable) are not worth it to me to wait 1-2 weeks for delivery and risk the chance that 1 of them would be defective and fk up my phone

but, I did buy a cat8 22awg ethernet cable there, that is so much overkill for anything networking that it's not even funny, but I use it for internal connection to streaming of audio, so extra $10 is worth it to remove any potential interference down the line (i generally dont have alot of interference here, due to newer wiring and most wiring actually is metal conduits, but still, worth it to me)

sorry, but this is not a paid posting. I found it around 3:30am today just browsing anker page on amazon cause I read an article just prior abut their new power products releases

it's ok to be skeptical and it's ok to think these things, I don't mind, just as long as you allow yourself also to admit that you could be wrong Smilie

Six days to deliver with Prime? Really Amazon? So much for 1-2 day Prime delivery. Prime subscription prices increase, benefits decrease. You'd think they were an insurance company the way this company behaves.

ya, I had the same recently... my guess it's the across the country warehouse things + paired wiht their own delivery service, vs ups 2 day air = delays.

Oh I can certainly admit fault, as that's usually the case, but I think most of us expect quality posts from staff?

Think about it. Your staff posted "Hey I know of better cables for less money" and then never linked us or gave us any info. That's a troll post, friend. Rookie post at best. And even now, still no link. So, pardon my sus.Wink

No, I disagree, and here is why. aliexpress is sorta like wild wild west or gold rush. I.E if you're know that you're doing, have some experience in some things, then you will find great deals there. But, if you're like most of my friends and just want 5 reliable cables delivered in 2-3 days, and care for reliability, speed of delivery (because your wife and kids keep permanently 'borrowing' your cables), then this deal is a very good one.

both cables have their use case scenarios and are geared for different people with different needs and expectations.

it's all about expectations and my friend razorconcepts knows this very well. him and I often chat about aliexpress stuff, but also knows his stuff and has some knowledge with electronics, where he tinkers with batteries, cables, etc..

as to why he didnt link, I don't know but my guess is he didn't have one handy and was probably lazy to login inot his account and find one he bought...

These are USB 2 speeds. If spending $3 on a cable you can do better data transfer speeds for sure. Otherwise you are hunting around when doing any sort of heavy duty work.

The deal for 5-pack was live, but yes it looks like it's dead now and redirects to the 3-pack option.
