I hope this is helpful for others to be well informed.
After activated, the 60-day unlock countdown begins and it should unlock automatically after 60 days pass. After the first month you do not have to pay for 2nd month if you do not want to keep their service. It will still unlock after 60 days.

I highly recommend activating it yourself to save time. Then, contact the customer representative via call or chat to ensure the port-out process is in progress. From what I've read, porting out a GV number can take a couple of days, while porting out a number from other carriers usually takes a few hours.
Is anyone in the same boat with their iPhone 14 order?
Do you think this means it's back ordered?
I might go to the total wireless store and have them do it for me? idk.
Just one reminder, be sure to have payed google the $3 to unlock the GV number and set your pin for GV voicemail to use the same pin for port out.
When calling to the customer service, ask them tom transfer you to the porting department, so that you get the most direct information. Customer service was not able to give me detail info about the status. Porting department was able to tell me that Google has accepted port request and authenticated the pin. And it was just matter of time waiting for the process to run through.
