A Visible # works fine for porting in. $5 for that after using a referral code found easily on Reddit. Google Reddit Visible referral.

I hope this is helpful for others to be well informed.

After activated, the 60-day unlock countdown begins and it should unlock automatically after 60 days pass. After the first month you do not have to pay for 2nd month if you do not want to keep their service. It will still unlock after 60 days.

I activated my phone today and sent unlock text to 611611. They responded saying " Great news!! Your device is already unlocked. " does this mean all set for me ?

As has been mentioned in the other recent TF/TW/ST threads there's a glitch in their 611611 messaging system, all phones have been getting the same "already unlocked" message when still locked.

It seems the system skipped the IMEI of all these phones. It would need manual unlocking which will be a PITA. They might demand active service on the unlocking day.

You should have questioned the said requirement. The unlock policy clearly states that the requirement is for the phone to have been activated to TW network, and the phone would be eligible for unlock in 60 days. It does not require for it have active service for the 60 days. The unlock policy can be found on the bottom section of the TW website. If the cost is important to you, just verify this with the next rep you get at the unlock department.

For me it shows $249 price with $100 discount and you have to add the $55 plan. So the total should come out to $205 before tax. Maybe you forget to added the phone plan? You won't get the $100 discount if you don't buy a plan.

Everything works fine with the GV number until I get to the checkout screen and the price jumps to $149.99 instead of $249 and after adding the $50 plan the total jumps to $304. Do you think it is because I got the iPhone 11 deal in April of last year? Does anyone know why? TIA.

Edit: The price only shows $149.99 for the phone when I add the $65 plan. It is not working with the $55 plan.

Anyone ported the number before 30 days were up? Did the phone still unlock after 60 days? Are you supposed to keep the phone active for 30 days until the first month ends? Thanks.

Noob question. I tried to buy the phone and plan online. When I try to create an account, it keeps failing, saying email is registered with system. I tried resetting password, and a link is sent for me to reset. But I cannot login even after reset. Is there something basic I am missing to do this deal?

You can call their customer service. They may need to cancel existing things in your basket. It happened to me too and got solved in this way.

It is strange. My phone was purchased in Jan but activated in early Feb due to some issue with Google Voice. When I sent UNLOCK to 611611, it showed my phone is already unlocked. But it won't work with SIM cards from other carrier, showing the phone is still locked. Anyone has the same issue?
