Just received my open box excellent today from Best Buy shipping. It literally was brand new in the box. You couldn't even tell it was an open box aside from the Best Buy tape on the outside. All of the seals were intact and nothing had ever been used on the TV or any of the accessories. The screen had zero hours on it when I powered it on. it looks like not everyone is getting brand new units, but I guess I lucked out.

Mine shipped from Dallas, TX if that makes a difference.

Still waiting on my order from Best Buy. It was on schedule to arrive on Saturday until "Significant Weather Delay" stopped it and it hasn't moved from its final stop since. The UPS system lists no significant weather anywhere on the East Coast and only one zip code in the entire country. Certainly, no weather event here.

But UPS can't help being UPS.

Just as a heads up, the total power on time can be reset via service remove: IN STOP. Once reset, there's no way to find out the original or true total power on time.

Confirmed by LG support chat after buying an excellent open box which was missing remote control and legs.

Went to BB to get and open box "excellent condition", "in store only" unit on Sunday, but when I arrived I learned it was floor display. When I had them check the unit hours it was over 3,400 hours. Additionally, the instore price higher than on-line. In-store it was $560ish. I showed him the on-line price, but he indicated that in-store price was just adjusted (up) and he would need to check with the manager. I chose not to buy. I made an offer on a Greentoe 48C4. If that does not work then I will consider a new unit.

Received "excellent condition" shipped. Remote missing, multiple burn ins all over the screen. What a fail.

I've returned my "Open-Box: Excellent". I'll go into details when I get my money back. Suggest to avoid 'open-box' crap. Mad

Make sure to have them send UPS to pickup the crud -- seems like they LOVE to waste time and money. Big Grin

Got mine yesterday. arrived a day late. Only has 7 hours on time. Came in the original box with remote and legs. The plastic screen cover was still intact, though had clearly been taken off and put back on. Everything's in perfect condition as far as I can tell, no burning or dead pixels. Mine shipped out of Aurora Colorado. I'm using it as a PC monitor. I have to say It's pretty nice other than the VRR flicker on certain games like Alan Wake 2, which I didn't know was an issue on OLED when VRR is enabled, until now… it's like a strobe light.

I got my refund.

These guys are clowns... my TV arrived without the screws to attach the legs to the TV. I went online and the chat person said go to your local BB store and they will have screws. I went to one. The manager there was dismissive because I bought an "open-box". I kept telling him this was "open-box: excellent", he asked other people and they basically said the same things: go to Home Depot or you can return it.

I looked up the BB definition of "open-box: excellent" and it says it includes all accessories. I asked for the manager again, showed it to him. He then went back to find screws. He came back with 'screws from an LG box', but not the screws I needed.

I went to another BB and got the same run-around. This other BB manager mentioned he has no idea why the chat person would tell people to come into the stores.

Yeah, I returned it out of principle.

So, the Geek Squad peep that reviewed it forgot to include screws
The chat person on BB website lied to me
The manager was rude and dismissive.

This entire deal was a very poor customer experience to me.

Those won't be bright enough you noob. Need to wait for CES 2027, you can easily get a 48 inch Micro-LED for $5,000

I get the disappointment, but it was 50 cents in screws. Was anything else wrong with it?

This is why I don't buy open box, no matter how "excellent" it seemed to be. When it comes to electronics like TV, soundbars.. I always buy new. Less of a hassle. There's a reason why it was returned - how often is it buyer's remorse?

Seems odd that this is getting so much attention. Is 48 a desirable size? Send like the 55 for less than 200 more is a better deal
