Great deal. Unfortunately I had to request refund because it kept asking me to log into my Xbox account and I didn't want to deal with that
It's a Microsoft product. It's called authentication for your Halo account. Steam is the platform. Derp.

I don't understand what Microsoft is up to with this. Random titles from them / companies they own are not available as play anywhere. Is this a thing they're pushing for or not?

Steam Deck Compatibility
Valve's testing indicates that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is Playable on Steam Deck.
This game is functional on Steam Deck, but might require extra effort to interact with or configure.
  • Some functionality is not accessible when using the default controller configuration, requiring use of the touchscreen or virtual keyboard, or a community configuration
  • Entering some text requires manually invoking the on-screen keyboard
  • Some in-game text is small and may be difficult to read

The regular sale price, but one of the best values in gaming. All of the titles (well...maybe not Halo 4) hold up in their own way, with enough variety to make each experience unique and enjoyable. Interestingly I prefer the original graphics on the titles that have been remastered, shows how much effort went into the visuals that were simply held back by console power limits. Halo has become as iconic as Doom or Quake to me

Considering Xbox is showing $40 rn for the PC version, I'd say this is far below the regular sale price...
They meant that this is the regular sale price on Steam.

LOL, the idea that throwing a email and password into a box....one time....is too much of a hassle for some people. Especially a Microsoft username that damn near everyone in the western world has by default....especially being this is a Microsoft game for use on a Windows computer.

I can sympathize with the DRM issue. I have some steam games that require EA app or Epic app in the background and it honestly makes the Steam Link experience much worse. It is still worth it if the game is great, but it's definitely not the same seamless experience as a game that uses Steam for DRM. It's also silly that any game needs both the steam DRM and another external DRM. This doesn't make piracy any less likely.
