Yes. Since it's Android. What you do is create a minor (<13 yrs old) Google account. Then add that account to your Google Family. Then login to that account when setting up this phone. From there you can manage screentime length and schedules, plus block or allow different apps. As long as you stick with Google Chrome as the only browser on the phone you can set what websites are allowed and the maturity level of search results. Some other Google apps also allow you to set maturity level allowed.

It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.

I've done the following several times without issue. Usually the chat portion is completed within 30 minutes. You won't have to do much more than provide validation that you're in possession of both phones (they'll send a text to each phone at points during the chat) and keep the conversation open (basically respond after each time they chat to you even if it's just "ok" to their "please continue to hold").

1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Hello, I'd like to move the data, minutes, text, and remaining days FROM my line TO my line .

currently has ### minutes, ### messages, #.# GB data, ### days left which I'd like added to my line which currently has ### minutes, #### messages, #.# GB data, ## days left.

My account email address is:

The end result should be minutes, messages, GB data, days left.

Walmart appears to be for 1 phone with plan. This deal is for 2 phones with plans at $54.98 for existing customers, $39.98 for new customers.

So if I transfer my current Tracfone number to 1 of the Moto G's, wait a couple of days and then transfer the same number to the other Moto G, will both Moto G's unlock after 60 days?
From the posts I read (my experience too) with these QVC/HSN phones bundled with services, and you waited a few days to transfer to the 2nd, both phones were unlocked 60 days after activation. You can text UNLOCK to 611611 (sometimes twice) to get an unlock date on the first phone before transferring to the 2nd. (The 2nd may report the same date as the 1st, but the actual unlock date would still be 60 days after it's activated.)

I'm getting it for a middle schooler to be able to phone me or text me when needed and out with friends. Also possibly take photos and play music on Sonos/on the car audio. It should last a couple of years and will get a real phone in high school.Do you think it's too slow for the above?
by the time the camera opens, the object and the people have left already

would it be better than nothing? definitely. but i'd still recommend the upgrade, it will be noticeable. especially if the plan is to use it a couple years, then the extra money is well worth it.
buy the two pack and combine service. you have a serviceable phone and phone service for 2 years for 85 bucks, not bad really.

I tried to take some pix, but the camera app took too long to open, so i kept missing the photo ops. Or the people no longer smile cuz of the wait.

By the time it gets to that price it will be out of date & at least a generation behind. It's smaller than the 21/22 versions & a more powerful phone with wifi charging.
Moto G 5G (with unlimited T/T/24GB data) was a good deal too.
For a backup phone, I don't really mind that it's out of date. It will still be better than the Stylus 2021 and Play 2024 it will be replacing.

I'm buying mainly for service rather than the phone but it certainly wouldn't hurt if the replacement phone is nice. 😊

I do want a nice Android but I'm looking at the OnePlus 13 and Samsung S25 Ultra. I doubt we'll get those on QVC/HSN Tracfone deals. 😛

in for a 2pk just for the service plans. I'll add them to the 2 moto g play 2024 phones already in service.
I use one of these as a burner phone for my wife's veterinary business. she sometimes wants to call people on weekends and evenings but doesn't want them to have her actual cell phone number!
tempted to do another 2pk of the 2024 phones but just can't justify having 4 of them.

Instead of the $1 BOYD SIM, can I just do eSIM for free? Or will that cause issues? Also: i have 3 months left on my current iPhone plan. Will there be an issue activating this deal in 3 months if i purchase now? Can I safely wait that long to activate?
Yes esim activations work. I did it on an iPhone 16 recently. You can safely wait up to a year to activate it.

This answers my question. So if I keep on combining the plans, I would expect minutes, texts and data to be combined also for that many years.
Correct. That is what happens.

Minutes don't expire, service time does. As long as you continue to add service time the minutes roll over. Many long time users have pretty large amounts of minutes because they keep adding these cheap deals.
My 24gb yearly plan just lapsed last week, can i get my data rolled over to this plan? What if I tried to rollover to this plan last week? Any way to get my data back?

Unlimited plans are different than the bundled minutes deals & I don't think there's a definitive answer. Have you tried adding a month to see? There's a topic on Howard Forums/TF dealing with unlimited plans vs pay go plans, might have more info.

my 24gb plan did combine with a bundled plan for extra years of service, but I did it before it had lapsed. I doubt there is a way to extend it after it lapsed, but I guess it's worth a try.
