Yes. Since it's Android. What you do is create a minor (<13 yrs old) Google account. Then add that account to your Google Family. Then login to that account when setting up this phone. From there you can manage screentime length and schedules, plus block or allow different apps. As long as you stick with Google Chrome as the only browser on the phone you can set what websites are allowed and the maturity level of search results. Some other Google apps also allow you to set maturity level allowed.

It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.

I've done the following several times without issue. Usually the chat portion is completed within 30 minutes. You won't have to do much more than provide validation that you're in possession of both phones (they'll send a text to each phone at points during the chat) and keep the conversation open (basically respond after each time they chat to you even if it's just "ok" to their "please continue to hold").

1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Hello, I'd like to move the data, minutes, text, and remaining days FROM my line TO my line .

currently has ### minutes, ### messages, #.# GB data, ### days left which I'd like added to my line which currently has ### minutes, #### messages, #.# GB data, ## days left.

My account email address is:

The end result should be minutes, messages, GB data, days left.

Walmart appears to be for 1 phone with plan. This deal is for 2 phones with plans at $54.98 for existing customers, $39.98 for new customers.

For Q1. Tracfone does not allow moving an active sim between devices, it may work for a day or two but will end with your account being locked. The right way to switch devices with tracfone service is to use whats known as a Bring Your Own Phone sim kit (BYOP). They can be purchased at retailers for around $5 or ordered from their website for 99 cents. When ordering from their website they will make it look like you need to also purchase a plan with the sim kit but if you look close enough you will find a 'skip plan' button and it will allow you to order just the sim kit. Order a few at a time. Every time you move service to a new unlocked phone it requires a new BYOP sim kit and that sims # ends up being registered/tied to that specific devices IMEI.
It didn't work like this at tail end of 2023 when I did this process over and over. Times changed?

If I want to use a brand new number from Tracfone, is there a way to Stack 2-years of service onto 1 of the phones (instead of 2 phones with 1-year of service) and also activate both phones?

1) Activate Moto #1 with new number on Tracfone.
2) Wait/Use for 60-days.
3) Activate Moto #2 + transfer number from Moto #1.
4) Follow previous recommendation of:
If you only want a new phone number and don't care about Rewards points or porting an existing phone # from a different carrier, simply do these:
1) Activate Moto #1 with new number on Tracfone.
2) Text UNLOCK to 611611 (sometimes twice) and it will give you a date the phone is eligible to be unlocked. (This is not a requirement, you can skip this step.)
3) Wait a day or two (or 60 days until it unlocks, but not really necessary to wait this long), activate Moto #2 by keeping your number as shown in the DIY [reddit.com] Guide. Moto #2 should have 3,000 TTD with 2 years of service. You don't need to contact support for this.
4) Both phones should be eligible for unlock 60 days after activation. (Moto #2 may report the same unlock date as #1 because of the service transfer, but the actual date is still 60 days after its activation).

Is there any activation fee? Can I request numbers for them or do I need to port a number to use? Sorry I am not at all tech savvy
No activation fee. No porting required - Tracfone will provide a new number.
  • Setup your phone then turn off. (You can also do this step after activation.) You don't need to remove the pre-inserted SIM. Phone will not be activated automatically.
  • Go to Tracfone website and click 'Activate'.
  • Click 'Activate' under 'New Phone (One you've purchased through Tracfone)'.
  • Select 'I want a new number'.
  • Select 'I want to use the physical SIM card' and continue.
  • Enter IMEI of your phone, agree to the terms and continue.
  • Activation Request Submitted. Click 'Continue' then either login or create an account.
  • Turn on your phone. If you already setup your phone, you should receive welcome text with your phone number. You can text UNLOCK to 611611 (sometimes twice) to check unlock date.
  • Wait a day or two, and follow the DIY [reddit.com] to activate the 2nd phone.

I tried to use the NEWQ30 code as new customer says code expired
Looks like it's a one day promo. QVC may have a different code soon. Still a good deal at $40 for 2 years of service.

Does anyone know the phone's model number? I'm looking to use
them after 60 days on several grandfathered AT&T accounts, and AT&T
only lists three whitelisted models:

Moto g Play 2023 (XT2271-3, XT2271-4, XT2271-5)

I have kept phones for about 2-3 months and still been able to activate.

The other part - if you activate this by transferring your existing number on Tracfone itself - it extends validity. Not clear if your plan that's expiring in June is on a different provider.
I've used a TF phone about a year after I bought it woth no problems.

Im curious about this too. Wouldnt mind getting one for my 8 year old. She does after school activities that we drop her off at, and sometimes I get stuck in traffic and am a few minutes late.
Yes I've used TF android snartphones for my kid and it works very well. He had the 1.5GB for a year and it was more than enough for Google to track him. He doesn't get access to any apps, just phone and messaging.

Activate first new phone as existing number and the minutes and data will be added to your plan and your phone number will be on the new phone. Repeat process for second phone. Then purchase new sim card and activate it with your number. It's a pain in the ass and I've seen accounts break doing this (can't login; account shows as not existing) but it's probably rare.
I will add that if your current phone is a TF, you don't need to get an additional SIM card. I was able to transfer the number and plan back to my permanent phone using existing SIM card that had been in it.

I will also add that the CS ppl on phone are very helpful and make process not too bad.

Yes, but just wait 6 months and get better, newer phones.

Its a Canadian Network and all providers in Canada have now stopped supporting CDMA I understand
Well, they have probably all stopped supporting GSM as well, or will. Don't thing in terms of GSM vs CDMA. Both are dead and gone. Just check what LTE bands the provider uses - this phone isn't NR capable.

Just activate when you get it & (each) new phone plan will be combined with your current plan, extending service.
