I wouldn't call it a great deal as this model was selling for $120 before the new year. It's powerful for sure and looks nice but I am not impressed with controls.

Most of my Panasonics last 10 years with heavy use. I love how it cooks rice and vegetables. I would agree it is not a great deal but it beats $170 regular price for someone that needs a microwave yesterday and likes the panasonic brand as I do.

Dang it, I just bought my mom one and paid $150 or $160. I remembered seeing them for less, but her microwave died, she decided this one would be okay, and when she actually gets around to making a decision about something I act before she decides to wait and think about it forever.

Might grab one to replace the old Oster that I've never liked even though it functions perfectly. These are nice ovens, just not sure if I want to wait for a deal on a multi-function unit. $120 isn't the best price these have been, but this beats anything else I've seen for the price.

I got a Cuisinart on sale at Target for $79 and it makes a very loud noise. Is that a defect or is that just the way microwaves are these days?

I was going to take the cuisinart back to Target and get this one but the reviews are not great at all.

Far too many comments about uneven heating, with food stone cold in the center and hot around the edges, terrible control panel & UI, cheap build quality, difficult to open door and how the model this one replaced was far superior in cooking/reheating food evenly.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a better microwave in this price range with 1200 watts of power?

My Panasonic lasts for 15 years and still rocks!
