McD has been printing surveys on their receipts, for which you receive a BOGO towards any burger purchase. You can only use it when ordering in person at the register.

3 Pokémon cards plus 1 holo Pokémon card. Small poster and stickers. If you order in the app it lets you select "Pokémon toy" for happy meals. App not required for Pokémon toy but helped me confirm my location had the toys

If using a BOGO survey promo, does it count the subtotal, or the actual amount charged?

Ah, that sucks because my two local McD's are slammed when I'm coming home from work since it's the dinner rush. I order in the app exclusively.

You used to be able to redeem the BOGO through the drive thru, so long as you wrote the code on the receipt and gave it to them,

Not true. I use it in the drive thru as well; however, it could be a hit or miss depending on the competency level of the individual working the drive thru. Some may state they did it, when you come to find that they did not. Some may actually go out of their way to get their manager to help them do this discount. If you are really lucky, they will know how to give the discount. In my area, the McDonald's locations were not standardized for a time. One location would offer the BOGO Quarter Pounder or BOGO Egg McMuffin. Now all the locations in my area, state it as "Buy any sandwich and get one free." I usually use it on any new burgers, chicken sandwiches, and breakfast sandwiches that come out.

Sorry, I guess I should've clarify that it's only guaranteed to work at the register? I never use the drive through so I wouldn't know nor care, but just sharing what works for me...
And like you said, if the drive through is a hit or miss, maybe it's better to just walk inside to order?

their receipt prints bogo for "any sandwich" yet when you claim it. they said they dont take that coupon. even if you point to the receipt they just printed for you. mentioned it. they kept repeating mdam we dont take this kind of coupon.

you can push for it with the manager. but the same incompetent manager would say we d take the coupon this time as a courtesy. we dont have to honor it.

the end? the cashier will laugh at you. the managers still collecting his bonus. enjoying his beer after he gets home. the corps still pushing us to fill the surveys. printed directly from their own pos. and the store keeps refusing it. make you look like a fool in the line. or a homeless asking for some free food.

Has that been happening to you? Not me. I do not think I was ever refused service for submitting receipts. In fact, I can tell you the # per month allowed for surveys until the website can tell that you are the one filling out surveys. For me, it was 5 times.
But it really helps when they introduce sandwiches like the Grand Mac and ones that are like $9 per sandwich (mind you, I live in a state where the cost of living is based around a $7.25/hr. wage and so that is pretty steep).
The one time I was given bad service was at a Rally's. Rally's, you do the receipt survey and they give you a QR code by email. If a location does not have a scanner, tough. The gal was asking me if I had a coupon, something I could give to her or print out. I was like "No, this is from corporate" and she thought I was actually doing something criminal. Lol.
Now days Rally's does some good offers through their app and so I never did the surveys again after that. I almost felt like I had to call to cops on her over the amount of ruckus she made.

whos not afraid of their special sauce. but i need this to get resolved. how could they still get away with this thing at this age. it appeared that they arent afraid of anyone. happened to at least 3 restaurants that i tried. there must be some guidelines from the corporate to allow them acting like this.

yes, happend to me many times. 1 manager even dared to lecture me that i needed to go online, filled in the questionnaire, got the code then they would take it. i pointed it to her that here is the code. big and bold. written where its supposed to be. have you even checked before trying to lecture the customer?
