No, that should be AX210, not AX211. The cards ending in -1 require an Intel CPU/chipset, and the ones ending in -0 are the ones for non-Intel systems.

Make sure if you get this to replace the atrocious Realtec wifi card the Ryzen models come with. It will cause many audio issues due to system latency. You can get an Intel AX211 one from Amazon for about $20 and it's a simple replacement.

Decent price. Too bad you have to add or replace the RAM. 8GB is pretty terrible.

My father needs a new laptop. He just does basic computer stuff. Web browsing, Word, Excel etc. I know this says it's a gaming computer, but is it still good for a basic laptop? Or is it overkill? Thanks!

FYI , from the last week sale, the nvid 4060 model for 550 - 600 has almost double the graphics speed and 8gb video ram.

Its definilty overkill but for the price it is well worth it, if thats the most you want to spend you wont find a better deal at that price, heck even the open box being around $418 is great. This laptop will last a basic users for many many years 5+ without a doubt. Yes you can spend $100 more and get something even better but then you are just compounding the overkill without much gain for a basic users besides longevity of how long you can keep it for. I just suggested this to my little cousin for his roblox gaming and school work since his dad didnt want to spend over $500.

Upping the ram to minimum 16GB is the only upgrade I could ever see being needed for even a basic user in the future.

#1 you can see in the price tracker that this has been lower

#2 modern cpus with integrated graphics will run circles around this thing. You can get a thin and light with a i5 ultra 2nd gen for $500. This laptop is a dinosaur

What GPU is on the I5 ultra the Intel Iris XE 80, if thats the case you are so incorrect, cant even do 50FPS on 720p resolution while the RX6550M 70W on 1080 resolution can get over 50 frames.

The RX6550M is pretty similar and in some benchmarks better than a RTX3050.

Maybe that 17" deal for $350.

Larger screen for old eyes. I advise against refurbished deals for family members unless you commit to being their tech support.
