I just about bought one after seeing it has external antenna ports but then remembered I have a very similar cradlepoint model just sitting in a box. I need not add to the box. But this does remind me I should play with it.
Got one for $25 during BF deals on Amazon. Works with my nano-sized (regular phone size sim up to iphone 13) tmobile sim. I don't think it works with an e-sim (could not find an option in its settings). Its signals are ok for me, I live within 3 miles of an LTE antenna and get 30-80 mbit but the signal quality is ok/mediocre based on signal levels (-105 / -11) without dedicated antennas. I use it with my phone sim when I am home, sacrificing my call/text so I can use it with my home network. There is also a 30gb "secret" tmobile data sim plan for $10 that people mentioned on previous deal threads, so please check if interested.
Wait.. does this transmit wifi so devices can connect ? . or is it strictly an LTE modem ?

Just a modem. You need a router for wifi. You can directly hook up to a pc lan port or to a router for wifi. A laptop could also share its network if you are looking for a temporary solution.

There should be that $15 (used to be $10) unlimited data tablet plan if you sign up as a business, there's a HUGE thread on that too.

we just recently got this for a elderly relative that lives rural and wants to use an old school analog telephone.
paired it up with att SIM prepaid $300/yr 20Gb/mo. plan.
connected the grandstream ht802 ata box.
VOIP provider VOIP.ms
during my testing i tested updating a laptop on it and while it worked and would be great when the cable internet goes offline, it comes at a premium cost.
something else i notice is that for att the 'call time' is the power on time. so, each call is the length of it being powered on.
