My BJ-s membership expired in Nov. 2024 under their last discounted promo. I had no intention of paying full price for a renewal. Then, while watching a UT vid. in Dec. 2024 a pop-up ad offered a $20 membership that I activated; I was skeptical that it may not go thru if my prior membership would be a problem, but it wasn't. Last week I get a mailer to renew my old membership for $20 which I didn't need. My local BJ-s is hardly doing any business but it is useful for some selected items that I use and I usually do OK if I don't get careless about what I buy. Much weaker than Costco and no gas pumps here at the location I use. My last Cc discounted membership expired and I can't get that deal again for another 5 months. I'll go back to Cc then if the discounted membership is offered again.

My account ended Dec 31st. Tried to redeem StackSocial code at BJ's. Assumed it was a renewal but it said code applied and BJ's still charged full amount(60). BJ's support said it had to be a new account to let code work. I tried a new account with different email and it stated that the code had already been applied previously and wouldn't apply then. I have a message into SS because no phone # apparently that I could see. Super annoying.
Please update if anyone tried.
