My problem with this is that the torn boxes, the ripped open pod, that was all deliberate.

When you select the Brew-Over-Ice (sometimes labeled just "Iced") setting, the coffee maker starts the brewing process with hot water to extract maximum flavor. It then automatically switches to cool water to minimize ice melt. This keeps your coffee from tasting watered down.
Here's how to use the Brew-Over-Ice setting:
1. Fill a tumbler with ice
We recommend using a plastic tumbler or our insulated stainless-steel Brew Over Ice Tumbler vs a glass one. Many types of glass can't handle rapid temperature changes, which can cause the glass to shatter. Fill your chosen tumbler ½ to ⅔ full of ice and place it under the brewer.
2. Insert your chosen pod
Select your favorite pod and add it to your Keurig machine. While you can brew any pod over ice, we highly recommend using a pod created for icing. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters® Brew Over Ice coffees. They're specially crafted to hold up to ice and come in delicious varieties like Caramel Vanilla and Pumpkin Spice, as well as Classic Black. For iced tea lovers, we carry both sweetened and unsweetened varieties of Bigelow® and Lipton® iced tea.
3. Press the Brew Over Ice setting
Once you've selected your pod and placed your prepared tumbler, all you have to do is select your beverage size and press the Brew Over Ice button.
4. Add milk, sweetener, syrups, or any other "must-haves" (optional)
Once your iced coffee is finished you can gussy it up any way you like by adding milk or your favorite dairy substitute, sweetener, syrups, whipped cream, etc., until it's just the way you like it.
5. For best flavor, enjoy right away
Iced coffee is best as soon as it's prepared. If you're taking it with you, an insulated tumbler or travel mug will help keep it at the perfect temperature.
