any idea where can I buy a firm mattress... firm as jute one or cotton one...or better a jute/coir mattress itself.

I have the Otis Haley 150 since 2004. There are other mattresses too. Had to go through my email to remember what site it was.

buy a name brand, and buy on sale, clearance if possible. mattresses have a ridiculous markup. stick with Sealy, Serta, Sterns and Foster, or Beautyrest. I think hybrid construction is still the best. go softer/more plush than you think you need. things firm up once you put on a mattress protector, mattress pad, and sheets. and get a nicer one than you think you need. it'll last longer, and you'll be more comfortable if you're holed up in there for a few days with the flu.

I would say go firmer if possible. Over time it will get softer. If it's too firm, you can get memory form to get softer. But you can't go from soft to firm.

I'm looking for a queen-size bed. Which one would be the best choice?

Yes, I got the king size. Not at all meant for futon.

I was about to say the same thing. I went firm on my current mattress more than 10 yrs ago and still going strong. I do the same thing, use a good latex or memory foam topper. Replace topper depending on needs. Mattress underneath still in great shape.

Did you buy firm or medium?
Medium if buying for the MIL
Firm if buying for your MILF! 😉

Actually went to a local Macy's that was closing and bought a Sterns & Foster firm with box spring for under $1400. You are buying a floor model, but for a guest bedroom, it works.

I would suggest go firmer than you think since you can't make it firmer if it's too soft. However, if it's too firm for you, you can add a gel/memory foam mattress topper to make it softer.

Looking to buy a mattress for a guest room. Any recommendations?
Got the Novaform comfort grande 14" from Costco, has great edge support. I like it 10x better then the Casper from Costco.
