Fantastic game, well worth $15. The platforming is great and most of the puzzles are fun. It's a pretty nice Metroidvania for a great price.

Not in my opinion. I bought the physical edition during the last sale and bought the DLC from the eShop on sale for $3.49 (regularly $5). The rest of the complete edition items didn't interest me and were mostly just outfits.

So I'd say save money and get physical, then if you enjoy it the DLC is also worth it.
Thanks!

As another commenter said, DLC is $5 max, less on sale. So unless you care about costumes in a single player game, I'd much prefer having a physical copy and just get the DLC later if you think it is worth a few bucks.
Thanks!

Out of curiosity, have you played any other Metroidvanias? That's pretty common for the model. Losing interest essentially immediately is surprising.
That said, I think it's done best when they find ways to let you revisit sections in new ways so it doesn't feel like you're grinding a section just for some minor secret you couldn't reach on your first visit.
I haven't played this one yet, but the reviews I've seen so far all seem to feel the PoP style and the time-bending mechanics play really well in a M'dvania. But if you just don't like this type of game, that won't be enough to bring you around.
I haven't really played any Metroidvania games, so it's definitely not my cup of tea so to speak. It reminded me of the old Dragon's Lair game I used to play as a kid, which used to drive me crazy with the brutal starting from scratch if you died haha.

No. It's a Metroidvania with tough boss fights. It's rated T for teen with blood, violence and mild language. It requires use of maps, problem solving and battles which would be over the head of an above average 4 year old.

All that said I guess it's theoretically possible for a four year old to play it... it is just a video game after all. Just buttons on a controller. Modern parents expose their kids to all sorts of things they shouldn't. It's technically possible for a 4 year old to play GTA or the Witcher III... doesn't mean they should.

Is it worth the additional $10 over the physical edition then?
Physical edition is just a download code just FYI
