Seriously. They literally have people doing this manually it seems. In the past it would auto unlock after 60 days without all these hoops.

Decided to check randomly if it was still locked on my lunch - and finally it's unlocked!!!

Timeline:
3/6 Activated - 30 days
4/5 deactivated
5/8 reactivated @ Bronze plan - 30 days
5/23 - Submitted unlock request
5/28 - finally unlocked

Ridiculous process but I don't think it will get any better as Verizon is trying to remove the 60 day rule altogether with the new FCC (which will most likely approve it).
Unlocking these manually is bonkers. You inspired me to check again and mine is now unlocked as well! FINALLY! I agree, it definitely is only going to get worse. I don't see myself opting for this kind of deal again in the future after how this has played out.

I emailed [email protected] (per a chat agent's instructions) on Friday night and today is when the phone finally shows unlocked.

Mine unlocked late today too, my timeline is nearly identical to yours. So glad to be done with this nonsense.

Thanks. In same boat. There is no account for my line. Only paid for 1 month and am past the 60 days. I called the number in the app, miraculously the phone dialed out and they told me that the phone would unlock in a day. I am skeptical but will wait and try calling gain if not. If still nothing ill get the second month
Any update?

I first activated my iPhone 16e on March 6th. I looked at the data points in this thread on May 4th and on May 5th decided to buy another month of the Bronze $35 plan. Checked today and my phone still showing "SIM LOCKED".I then called the unlocking dept # provided on this thread and asked the agent when it would be unlocked or if it can be unlocked now.The agent took down the IMEI # and stated that it will be auto unlocked on June 4th.I was hoping for earlier but will have to play the waiting game and report back by then.
UPDATE:
After seeing a couple of people here getting their phones unlocked via the unlocking website over the Memorial Day weekend, I went that route to see if it was eligible to be unlocked. Long and behold, it says it was and had submitted a ticket to get it unlocked on the 24th which was a Saturday.
By late Wednesday the 28th, I had restarted the phone and showed "NO SIM RESTRICTION" even though the unlocking dept I called earlier in the month had stated the phone would be unlocked by June 4th.
Glad to be over and done with this, but wanted to at least share an update.

It was super easy and no issues to switch my tmobile sim from my old phone to this esim. Now it is currently running two esims and numbers until my straight talk service runs out. One more phone to do that too when I find the time and then I am done with all of this.

Cap1 cashback didn't register when I made the purchase so I waited 90 days. Emailed them and they said that the purchase wasn't eligible but added $109 cashback as a courtesy.

Bs. I had this issue twice with them where cb was over $100 each. When i send them email that is was not tracked, they would say to wait 30 days. 30 days later they came back to say wait 90 days. By this time you would be out of return period and on their mercy if they want to do as "gesture "

lucky. They asked me for itemized receipt but of course ST never sent us an email confirmation or anything so we have no actual proof of purchase.

Check your order number and go to website of order status. I sent them screenshot of the details.

That order status doesn't itemize what you purchased. It just shows a lump sum charge from Straighttalk. C1 CS keeps demanding an itemized receipt which I can't produce.

Where do you find your order number if you never got an order confirmation from them?
I would capture it while ordering
