since it's year one subscription, you should also state the one year price (52 weeks?).

Real SDers access for free through libraries. You know, those things your tax money pays for? Why would anyone pay for this? I'm 42 and haven't paid for any major newspaper, ever.

It's $2/month.

Not all libraries offer free portal access.

If people like reading the WSJ it's a good price. Put a calendar reminder to cancel a year from now. Last time I cancelled I could do it online without having to call in.

I pay $7/month for WSJ, Barrons, Marketwatch and IBD.

Pretty happy with that...pre internet, I'd pay a lot more for physical delivery.

FYI to anybody considering this, the WSJ is not the bastion of unbiased reporting it once was. The opinion side of the house is still pretty good, but the "news" side of the house has introduced a very noticeable leftward slant in the past few years. Depending on the topic they can still be fairly decent, but if it's something that the new "news" staff feels strongly about, they're just as bad as the rest of the media (which is why I keep putting news in quotes -- some articles have a good bit of left-leaning opinion subtly interspersed in them). My understanding is that they had significant staff turnover a few years back, leading to the degradation in quality. Part of the problem is that the news department follows the AP stylebook, which in recent years has itself become a way to propagate left-leaning dogma. Actually, come to think of it, the WSJ's opinion department just published a column about that issue:https://www.wsj.com/opinion/trump...s-78c25b2a

I am. There is a very obvious tension between the left-leaning news desk and the right-leaning opinion desk. In cases where the news desk errs on the side of opinion, the will sometimes publish oppositely slanted articles side-by-side. I much preferred the days when both the news desk and the opinion desk strove to adhere to neutrality, the WSJ was a very special paper during those times.
