If you care about it, this set has no special features like the old blu ray set did. it was also $40 in october 2024 from Gruv once.

I had read somewhere that this set does not include 4k versions of all three extended movies (it does for the theater length versions, but one or more of the extended versions is in 1080p). Anyone hear about that? Or maybe it was a previous 4K collection release?

As much as I want to really like this series, it's one of very few movies that I've never been able to stay awake through.
They're good movies. Lol but they're also good movies to fall asleep to also.

It's like church.

The 4K versions of these movies are a massive upgrade over the old ones. It is a night and day difference. They did a huge color upgrade. These look amazing in Dolby Vision; especially on an OLED. The Atmos audio is great, too. I only have the digital versions, but physical is king, so this is tempting.

The very first comment says this doesn't come with special features, like the regular blu-ray set did.

It's been $40 quite a few times from various retailers. I bought it once because it said it included the digital copy, but it didn't.

They're referring to the 6 film (30 disc) collection coming out March 18th. I don't see any special features listed there, , but damn that's a lot of discs. 😂

FYI if you want to digital 4K version you can still get the Extended Edition movies from Bing Rewards (aka Microsoft Rewards) for 9000 points. (About $9 worth based on 10500 points for $10 Amazon GC) It has MA so can be added to Prime Video too.

Of course it is not as good as physical but is much cheaper.
