I would think so, it's advertised for metal, and stops rust. I've used it on a gas fireplace and it drys to a flat finish.

Kinda. It needs to be a sunny day and the metal warm. This is high temp paint so it needs the metal to be warmer/hot so it adheres better. After a few thin coats painting it then leave in the sun to stay warm.

Also take a wire brush/sandpaper and get as much rust off as you can. A rust convertor/primer before also helps.

I use this on automotive exhausts systems when I replace parts. The welds get rusty fast so I spray all the welds and seams of the exhaust so it last a little longer.

Yes. Clean up the rust first. I used it on a bike rack and it worked great. As said, it dries flat back.

Conisdering the price I'd give it a try, assuming we're talking about a metal mailbox.

Of course, I'd probably also recommend a good once-over with a sanding block or some sandpaper and waiting until a warm summer day just to give the application the best chance.

Good luck!

This has to be heat annealed so anything that you're not heating up to 400 to 450 degrees isn't going to stay coated very well. Made that mistake with my first can and waiting too long to actually use the fire pit that I sprayed
