Amazon's prices on Augason, Mountain House, Readywise, etc. tend to fluctuate more than Walmart's pricing. I'm assuming that the algorithm picks up your shipping habits and throws you a discounted bone every once in awhile to get you to make a recurring Subscribe and Save purchase in hopes that you forget to cancel your subsequent deliveries.

The tariffs will have an impact on the price of steel and bananas. Since the packaging on this item is steel and bananas are not a domestically grown produce item, I'm guessing one could expect the price of this item (and other banned items) to rise in the near future.
